The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) was set up by the federal government of Nigeria in the year 1977. Taraba State was created on the 27th of August from the then Gongola State by the formal administration of General Ibrahim Babangida. Its capital is Jalingo, it can be found in the northeastern part of Nigeria and it has 16 local government areas.
