The management of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has made announcements about the date that all academic activities of the school will resume for the 2019/2020 academic session.
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, all activities of Yaba College of Technology and other institutions were put on hold following instructions of the Federal Government. School activities were put on hold in order to reduce the spread of the deadly virus and to look for effective measures to kill the virus. After school activities were shut down, the whole country was also restricted to a lockdown emergency to prevent the virus from spreading further.

In recent times, schools are re-opening once more and school activities are returning back to normal in order to make up for the lost academic sessions. Tertiary institutions have started announcing the date of their resumption and also releasing their academic calendar. Consequently, the management of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has also announced its resumption date for the continuation of academic activities for the 2019/2020 academic session.
The recently announced resumption date applies to both fresh and returning students of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) 2019/2020 academic session.
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) Resumption Date
Full -Time students:
The management of YABATECH announced that Full-time students will resume the first semester for the 2019/2020 academic session on Monday, October 12, 2020, while late registration will begin on Friday, October 9, 2020, and end on Friday, October 16, 2020.
All students should make sure that within the stipulated time, they have completed their registration. It is necessary to note that late registration will attract a penalty of Five Thousand Naira only (N5,000.00).
The school management expects students to submit their course registration forms to their respective school officers to enable them to complete the registration exercise. Students are to ensure that they adhere strictly to all COVID 19 protocols.
Lecture Schedule
First Week
- ND II and HND II will hold lectures on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- ND I and HND I will hold lectures on Tuesday and Thursday.
Second Week
- NDI and HND I will hold lectures on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- ND II and HND II will hold lectures on Tuesday and Thursday.
Note: The school management announced that other weeks will be alternated.
Part-Time Students
- Weekday: Monday 12th October 2020
- Weekend: Saturday 10th October 2020.
