NBTE vision of the board is to be a world-class regulatory body for the promotion of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Nigeria. It was established by the federal government of Nigeria in the year 1977. The role of NBTE to established and supervise the technical institutions in the country.

Admission Requirement

The admission requirement to study in these institutions is low if compared to universities in the country. The JAMB (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board) examination is not needed for most of these institutions. Five credits are needed in WAEC (West African Examination Council) or in NECO (National Examination Council). For some of these schools, candidates who are to apply for admission are expected to be up to 18 years.
