About the 2020/2021 UNIZIK Post UTME & Direct Entry Screening Form

Suitably qualified candidates are hereby invited for application into Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) for its 2020/2021 academic session by the management of the institution. Candidates Eligible for UNIZIK Post UTME

The following are the group of candidates whom the management of UNIZIK has deemed fit for its Post UTME and Direct Entry application:

  • Candidates who during their 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration and Direct Entry made the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) or any of its affiliated institution their first choice of institution.
  • Candidates who meet the required cut-off mark of the institution.
  • Candidates who did not make the institution their first choice but have the required cut-off mark of any of the school faculty/programme are eligible to apply for the screening on the condition that they apply for a change of institution by visiting the JAMB website.

Faculties/Programmes with Cut-off Mark of 200

The following faculties require a JAMB score of 200 from prospective candidates before they can apply:

  • Law, Medicine & Surgery, Pharmacy, Social Sciences
  • Physical Sciences: Computer Science only
  • Biosciences Applied Microbiology, Applied Biochemistry.
  • Health Science & Technology: Medical Rehabilitation, Nursing Science, Radiography, Medical Laboratory Science

Faculties/Programmes with Cut-off Mark of 180

The following faculties require prospective candidates to have a minimum of 180 in order for them to be considered for admission:

  • Biosciences: Parasitology & Entomology, Zoology Biological Science, Botany.
  • Health Science &Technology: Environmental Health Science.
  • Arts, Basic Medical Sciences, Education, Engineering, Management Sciences

Faculties/Programmes with Cut-off Mark of 160

The underlisted faculties require candidates to have a minimum of 160 in order for them to be eligible for application and consequent admission:

  • Physical Sciences: Chemistry, Geological Science, Geophysics, Mathematics, Physics and Industrial Physics, Pure & Industrial Chemistry, Statistics.
  • Agriculture, Environmental Sciences
  • All Affiliate Institutions.

How to Apply for UNIZIK Post UTME

Prospective candidates who fulfill the above-listed eligibility requirements should follow the underlisted process to apply:

  • Go to this link.
  • Once there, proceed by clicking on “Create Account”
  • Correctly fill in your UTME Registration Number and your valid email address and click on “Send”. A verification code will be automatically generated for you and sent instantly to your email.
  • Copy the generated verification code and click on “Continue”
  • Correctly enter your phone number, password, verification code (the one sent to your email) on the form. Select the access level, then click on “Submit” to continue.
  • Instantly, your login details will be sent to your email address.
  • To continue with the application process, use the login details sent to your email to login.
  • Upon successful login, click on “Step One” to “generate your application form RRR”
  • Then, print the RRR (Remita) page and proceed to any bank of your choice nationwide to make the required payment of N2,000.00 only.
  • After payment, log in to the portal and click on “Step Two”. Click on “Confirm payment” then enter the RRR number that has been generated and click on “Verify payment”. If the confirmation of the payment shown is successful, or of a notification “Payment already verified” is sent to you, then you can proceed to “Step Three”.
  • Click on “Step Three” and then click on “ Fill Application Form”. Correctly fill the application form. Each stage of the application can be saved and returned to at a later time. Within the application period, you are also permitted to edit your application as often as possible.
  • Check the “I Agree” box. To submit the application, click on the “Submit button”.
  • Proceed to print out the application form.

For Direct Entry Candidates

  • Candidates must ensure that their academic transcripts are forwarded to the Registrar, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, on or before Monday 30th November 2020, in addition to the above-mentioned registration guidelines.
  • Any candidate who fails to do so before the stipulated deadline will not be considered for admission by the management of the institution.

Registration Deadline

The registration portal will close on Monday 30th November 2020. Candidates who wish to apply for a change of course or institution into NAU and any of its affiliate institutions should note that the process ends on Friday 20th November 2020. Any change made after the deadline will not be considered valid by the institution.

Requirements for the Screening Exercise

Candidates should take note of the following:

  • The personal phone number/email address and UNIZIK website should be monitored for further details on the post-UTME/DE screening exercise.
  • The screening exercise will be carried out in full compliance with all established safety protocols of COVID 19.
  • Candidates who failed to participate in the online registration will not be allowed to take part in the screening exercise.
  • In order to be considered for admission, candidates must upload their O’ level results to the JAMB portal.

Note:

  • The university will take no responsibility for any payment made by a candidate with the wrong JAMB registration number at the bank.
  • Any fraudulent payment made anywhere that is not in line with the directives of the university is the candidate’s responsibility to bear not the institution. The university will not be liable for such action.
