Admission Requirements

– Postgraduate Diploma Programmes

    • Candidate must be a graduate of the University of Uyo or any other university recognized by the senate of the University of Uyo or must hold a qualification adjudged by the Senate of the University of Uyo to be equivalent to a First Degree and must hold a minimum of a third-class degree in order to qualify for admission into Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes. Candidates who hold a recognized Higher National Diploma with Lower Credit in relevant disciplines are also eligible to apply.
    • Graduates from recognized tertiary institutions with a minimum of Third Class in Sociology Anthropology or Social Work can apply for Postgraduate Diploma in Public Order and Information Management.

– Master’s Degree Programmes

    • Prospective candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree not lower than a Second class Lower Division in any relevant discipline or a Postgraduate Diploma in their relevant field of study in order to qualify for admission. Candidates are also required to satisfy the basic UTME requirements for Bachelor’s Degree.

– Doctorate (Ph.D.) Degree Programmes

    • Aspirants must be an M.Sc. graduate in Public Order and Information Management from the University of Uyo or an institution recognized by the University of Uyo’s Senate.
    • Candidates must have obtained a Master’s degree in Social Science, Arts, and Management Sciences from Institutions recognized by the University of Uyo’s Senate and also must have obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Order and Information Management along with relevant work experience.

Duration of Programmes

  • Postgraduate Diploma will run for three(3) semesters with three(3) Months Industrial Attachment where necessary.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Economics will run for at least four(4) and a maximum of six(6) semesters.
  • Masters Degree in Public Administration will run for three(3) semesters of intensive course work and a Research Project.
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) (Executive) will run for four semesters of intensive course work and research project.
  • M.Sc. Degree in Public Order and Information Management will run for four(4) semesters of intensive course work and a research project.
  • PhD in Public Order and Information Management will run for at least ten(10) semesters of intensive course work and a supervised thesis.

  • Any application form submitted without transcripts will not be given consideration.
  • Candidates are required to provide NYSC discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion Certificates. These may however not be required in special circumstances.

  • Select the e-forms option to continue the registration process.
  • Then, you are required to Select Admission type Postgraduate Diploma, Masters and Doctorate Degree (Part-time) as the Admission Form Type.
  • Enter your personal details such as Phone number, name and email address.
  • To make the payment, click the Make Payment button.
  • Candidates can make payment online or in any Bank Branch through the Remita Platform.
  • Upon successful payment, candidates are to return to the login portal and click on “Register Link”
  • Candidates should take note of his/her Login credentials generated.
  • Finally, login and complete registration.
