A rumor has attracted the attention of the management of the University of Port Harcourt that Monday, November 30th will be the resumption date for the commencement of academic activities at the institution.
The memo which was dated to have released on the 23rd of November addressed all students with fake news about the resumption of academic activities and it was signed with the signature of the Registrar, Dr Dorcas D. Otto which was faked by some unscrupulous persons.
For the purpose of clearing the air of this information, the Registrar, Dr Dorcas D. Otto did not sign any memo that directed the resumption of academic activities stating the return of all students back to the campus.
It is, therefore, the advice of the school management for parents, guardians, and students to disregard the impostor who had faked the signature of the registrar in the fake memo that has been circulation on social media.
At the appropriate time, the university management will announce its resumption making use of conventional media.
