This is to inform the general public about the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo (UNIMED) Admission Form for the 2024/2025 Academic Session. Official details about the form are given below.
UNIMED Pre-Degree Admission Form for 2024/2025 Session
Applications from suitably qualified candidates are invited for admission into the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo Pre-Degree Programme. The programme shall run for One (1) academic session from December 2023 to August 2024. It is an intensive programme to prepare Candidates for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)/Post-UTME and towards admission into a 100-level degree programme of UNIMED and other Universities of their choice.
UNIMED ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
a. Candidates must have credit passes in at least five (5) Subjects (i. e. Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at SSCE/GCE/ NECO at NOT more than two (2) sittings, with only one (1) sitting required for Medicine and Dentistry.
b. Candidates who meet the admission requirements will be admitted into the Pre-degree programme
The subjects to be offered are:
1. Mathematics
2. English Language
3. Physics
4. Chemistry
5. Biology
3.0 QUALIFICATION FOR 100 LEVEL ADMISSION INTO UNIMED
Candidates are expected to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), obtain the minimum cut-off mark for University admission, and comply with our Post-UTME as may be required. In addition, all candidates are expected to pass the first and second-semester examinations with good grades. We believe this will also enhance their performance in the UTME and post-UTME.
Successful candidates are eligible to be allocated to the 100-level Courses of related Faculties/Departments of Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Herbal Medicine, Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, and Mathematics Sciences.
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
ONLINE PAYMENT
Eligible candidates should log on to the University website www.unimed.edu.ng. Then, the following steps:
i. Click on Students;
ii. Click on PRE-DEGREE to access the Pre-Degree Portal;
iii. Click on Payment via the online payment system using a VISA or MASTER Card. Note that a VERVE Card is NOT allowed. Duly follow the instructions to pay Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000) only.
iv. On successful payment, the candidate should note the Number on the Application Form and Print the Payment Receipt;
v. On PRE-DEGREE PORTAL, Click on APPLICATION FORM/LOG IN with the generated PRE-DEGREE Application Form Number and Payment Transaction ID to access/complete the application form
5.0 CLOSING DATE:
The application will close Six (6) weeks from the date of this publication.
