Details About the UNILORIN Stay at Home Directive to Staff

The management of the University of Illorin in response to the directive by the National Universities Commission Ref. No. NUC/ES/138/Vol.63/151 of 23 December 2020 about a compulsory stay at home for non-essential workers from CONTISS 11, CONUASS 04 and below, has directed compliance as follows:

  • For a period of five weeks, all staff from CONTISS 11, CONUASS 04 and below are to stay at home with effect from Wednesday 23rd December 2020 to Wednesday 27th January 2021. They are not to embark on any journey without acquiring permission. If deemed necessary, any staff who is her/her service is needed would be called upon.
  • Resumption of duty for staff is Thursday 28th January 2021 except otherwise instructed.
  • A working schedule with the staff should be arranged by the various heads of essential Units to make sure that there is the continuous operation of such offices. This is without prejudice to 1 above.
  • It is advisable that other Officers who will be at work to strictly adhere to the announced safety regulations by W.H.O and maintain a high regime of personal hygiene.
  • All activities involving large crowds (e.g. classrooms, hostel accommodation, conferences, and seminars) are to be suspended in line with the directives of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVKD-19, while the universities remain closed waiting for further directives from the Federal Government on the reopening of schools.
  • Recent returnees from overseas are expected to be on self-isolation and contact the following phone numbers of the University of Illorin Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Prevention Committee via 08022600397 and 09093022622 if there is an emergency.
