The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) was set up by the federal government of Nigeria in the year 1977. What You Need to Know About Niger State
Niger State was created on the 3rd of February 1976 from the old North-western state by the formal administration of General Murtala Ramat Mohammed. The state can be found in the Middle Belt Region of Nigeria, its capital is Minna and it has 25 local government areas.
Three Universities can be found in Niger State and they are one federal, one state and one private university. Hausa is the dominant tribe in Niger State and it is named after River Niger. Niger State shares borders with Kogi State to the southeast, Zamfara and Kebbi state to the northeast and Kwara State to the south.

Admission Requirements
The JAMB (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board) examination is not compulsory for Technical Colleges. Applicants need five credits in WAEC (West Africa Examination Council) or in NECO (National Examination Council).
