The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) was set up by the federal government of Nigeria in the year 1977. Delta State was created on the 27th of August 1991 from the formal Bendel State. Its capital is Asaba, it has 25 local government areas and it can be found in the southern part of Nigeria. There are eight universities in the state and they include one state, two federal and five private universities.
