The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) was set up by the federal government of Nigeria in the year 1977. NBTE is the body that supervises, accredit and regulate the affairs of all technical institutions. Abia State was created from the old Imo State on the 17th of August 1991 and it can be found in the southeastern part of Nigeria. The capital of the State is Umuahia and there are 17 local government areas in the state. Admission Requirements
The JAMB (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board) examination is not compulsory for Specialised Institutions. Students need at least five credits in (West African Examination Council) or NECO (National Examination Council).
