The academic calendar is a briefing of all academic activities to be carried out for that school year and Redeemer’s University Nigeria, Ede, Osun State has decided to keep its students informed by releasing the 2020/2021 academic calendar for the first and second semester.
The academic calendar of Redeemer’s University is a comprehensive guide to all the programmes, courses, services as well as academic policies for the entire session to students of the institution.
Redeemer’s University Academic Calendar
First Semester
The academic calendar for the first semester as released by the institution is:
- October 26, 2020 – Fresh students arrive/orientation programme/commencement of course registration.
- November 2, 2020 – Resumption of returning students/ commencement of course registration for returning students.
- November 3, 2020 – First semester lectures commence
- November 16, 2020 – Commencement of late registration for returning students
- November 20, 2020 – Course registration for returning students comes to an end
- December 4, 2020 – Close of application for additional courses
- December 14, 2020 – Christmas/New Year break
- January 6, 2021 – Resumption from Christmas/New Year break.
- January 11, 2021 – Course registration for fresh students comes to an end.
- January 11, 2021 – Resumption of lectures (from break) for the first semester
- February 3, 2021 – 16th Matriculation Ceremony
- February 19, 2021 – Close of application for the deletion of courses
- March 5, 2021 – First-semester lectures end
- March 8, 2021 – First-semester examination revision begins
- March 15 – 26, 2021 – All students begin the first-semester examination
- March 29 – April 17, 2021 – Consideration/procession of first-semester examination results
Summary of First Semester
- 1 week – Resumption/registration of fresh students.
- 14 weeks – Lectures commences
- 1 week – Revision commences
- Examinations will run for a period of two (2) weeks
Second Semester
The academic calendar for the second semester as released by the institution is:
- April 19, 2021 – Resumption/arrival of students.
- April 20, 2021 – Registration of courses commences/ resumption of lectures for the second semester.
- May 3, 2021 – Commencement of late registration.
- May 7, 2021 – Course registration comes to an end.
- May 21, 2021 – Close of application for addition of courses.
- July 16, 2021 – Close of application for deletion of courses.
- July 30, 2021 – Second-semester lectures comes to an end.
- August 2 – 6, 2021 – Second-semester examination revision begins.
- August 9 – 20, 2021 – Second-semester examination begins.
- August 23 – September 24, 2021 – Consideration/processing of second-semester examination results.
- September 30, 2021 – 2020/2021 academic session comes to an end.
Summary for Second Semester
- Fifteen (15) weeks will be used for lectures.
- One (1) week will be used for revision.
- The examination will run for a period of two (2) weeks.
I8th October 2021 – 2021/2022 Academic Session will commence.
