Obong University Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Programmes
The university expects prospective candidates to meet certain eligibility requirements in order for them to gain acceptance into the institution. Obong University has general university requirements on which candidates are given admission into any undergraduate programme. They are :
- All qualified candidates irrespective of religion, ethnic group, gender, race/creed, disability, or political inclination will be offered admission into the university.
- The University will only offer admission to candidates who applied through either Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
- Prospective students are required by the university to satisfy all requirements in order to be eligible for admission.
- For admission into most courses, credit passes in Mathematics and English Language is compulsory.
- The Jamb cut-off mark for admission into Obong University for the 2020/2021 academic session is 140 points.
- Candidates are required to meet specific Faculty and Departmental Admission Requirements.
- Candidates who meet the entry requirements but did not choose the institution are required to click on the JAMB Portal link and effect the change of institution to Obong University.
UTME (100 Level) Admission Requirements
Candidates applying via Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination are required to:
- Have a minimum of five(5) credit passes at SSCE or its equivalence in relevant subjects obtained at not more than two(2) sittings.
- Score the acceptable UTME points of the university in relevant subjects.
Direct Entry (DE) 200 Level Admission Requirements
Candidates applying via Direct Entry are required to:
- Have a minimum of five(5) credit passes at SSCE or its equivalence in relevant subjects obtained at not more than two sittings.
- Have at least two(2) A’ level passes or its equivalence in relevant subjects or have NCE, GCE A/Level, OND or HND with credit/merit passes, or have a good first degree in relevant field as the case may be.
Note: students who are currently under-enrollment at any other university and who want to transfer to Obong University should follow the instructions given to enable them to pay for and fill the Obong University admission form.

After candidates have gotten all required documents and have submitted via designated outlets or online, then the application will be processed. The university management will upload the names of successful candidates on the university website via www.obonguniversity.edu.ng.
