The university is a four-year private institution located at Obong Ntak, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Obong University has a good number of faculties and departments that impart knowledge to its students, which, in the end, builds up character development.

Obong University Undergraduate Admission Criteria 2024/25

To be an undergraduate of the university, candidates are expected to have met the following requirements;

Candidates must be 16 years and above.
A candidate must have 5 credits at SSCE or equivalent in relevant subjects. It must be gotten at not more than two sittings.
The candidate must score the acceptable Jamb cut-off mark for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The SSCE results of candidates must have credit passes in Mathematics and English for all courses.

There are two ways to be an undergraduate student at Obong University. It is either the person who takes JAMB or applies through Direct Entry.

Obong University Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Criteria

To do a full-time undergraduate programme at Obong University, a candidate must either have written Jamb or applied via Direct Entry. These are the two main processes of gaining admission into Obong University as a full-time undergraduate Student.

JAMB Admission Requirements

A candidate must take the Joint Admission Matriculation Board Examination to be a full-time student of Obong University. The last Jamb cut-off mark of Obong University was 140. However, the 2024/2025 cut-off mark has not been released, but it may remain at 140.

If you wish to gain admission into Obong University using Direct Entry, then you are to meet these requirements;

Candidates must have five(5) credits in their O’ Level result. Results of more than two sittings are prohibited.
Mathematics and English language credits must be in the candidate’s O-level result.
Candidates must be 16 years and above.
To apply, candidates must obtain the Jamb Direct Entry form from JAMB.
Candidates must have the following certificates: OND, ND, NCE, IJMB, Cambridge A level, BSc, HND and an ICAN.

Inter-University Transfer Degree Admission Requirements

To transfer from another university to Obong University, the candidate must;

Obtained a very high GP in their first or second year
Get all their academic transcripts
Be financially stable to pay the necessary fees
Get the inter-university transfer form into pre-degree
After getting the transfer form, fill in the admission form and submit it to the school portal.

Obong University Part-Time Degree Admission Requirements

The part-time admission requirements for Obong University are the same as the full-time requirements. You can apply for a part-time programme using Jamb (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board) or Direct Entry mode.
