About the OAUTHC School of Nursing Admission Form for 2020/2021 Academic Session

The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC)  is excited to use this medium to invite applications from eligible and suitably qualified candidates for admission into either of the following programmes offered by the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife:

  1. Basic General Nursing (This is a three-year programme which is scheduled to commence in October 2020)
  2. Post Basic General Nursing (This is an eighteen-month programme which is scheduled to commence in March 2021).

While the application forms for admission into Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) School of Nursing for the 2020/2021 academic year is currently ongoing as no specified deadline date has been announced, suitably qualified candidates are encouraged to start their application as early as possible.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Basic General Nursing:
  • Candidate must possess five (5) credits in relevant subjects in their WAEC, SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE at not more than two sittings. Note that these relevant subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Candidate should be at least sixteen (16) years old on admission.
  1. Post Basic General Nursing:
  • Candidate must possess five (5) credits in relevant subjects in their WAEC, SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE at not more than two sittings. These relevant subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
  • Candidate must be a registered Midwife or Psychiatric Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
  • Candidate must have a minimum of one year post registration working experience

Application Process

1. Basic General Nursing:

  • Candidates are to obtain the application forms online from the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife website at oauthc.com for the sum of eight thousand (8, 000.00) Naira only through remita platform via the OAUTHC website
  • Candidates are to attach two recent identical passport photographs to the application form

The entrance examination will be conducted by the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, (OAUTHC) Nursing and Midwifery Central Selection Committee (date yet to be fixed). It should be noted that the examination will be a Computer Based Test.

2. Post Basic General Nursing:

  • Candidates are to obtain the application forms online from the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife website at oauthc.com with the sum of ten thousand (10, 000.00) Naira only through remita platform via OAUTHC Website
  • Candidates are to attach two recent identical passport photographs to the application form

The examination for the Post Basic General Nursing admission into the OAUTHC Nursing program will be conducted as a written test and an oral interview on a date yet to be fixed. Prospective candidates are to note that no individual or agent has been appointed to sell admission forms on the institution’s behalf. As such any candidate who acts outside the aforementioned approved application guidelines does so at their own risk.
