About the NLNG 2020/21 Post Primary Scholarship Award
The NLNG four-tier scholarships that provide the different level which the students can apply for are as follows:
- NLNG Post Primary Scholarship
- NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship
- NLNG Overseas Post Graduate Scholarship
- NLNG Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Scholarship
However, in this article, we will be focusing on the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Post Primary Scholarship award for 2020/2021.
The management of Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited is pleased to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the NLNG 2020/2021 Scholarships Scheme. While the annual NLNG scholarship opportunity is open to all levels of study, the Post Primary scholarship scheme is available to high performing basic five and six pupils.
About the NLNG Post Primary Scholarship Award
The NLNG Post Primary Scholarship scheme is geared towards supporting high performing basic five and six pupils in the NLNG’s host communities and the oil-producing states of Nigeria to have access to uninterrupted post-primary education. This scheme which started in 2012 with 28 beneficiaries and has grown to a total of 172 beneficiaries by 2015.
It should be noted that out of the NLNG four-tier scholarship, three of them are being hosted in Nigeria which includes the post-primary, undergraduate, and the internally displaced persons (IDP) scholarships, while the postgraduate scholarship is hosted in the United Kingdom.
Candidates who are looking to take part in the NLNG 2020/2021 post-primary scholarship award are required to meet certain eligibility criteria. These are the following eligibility criteria and requirements, Prospective candidates must:
- Be an indigene of NLNG host communities
- Be a basic five (5) or (6) pupil
- Provide his/her basic five (5) result
- Provide an attestation letter signed and stamped by the Head Teacher of his/her school (contact number of the Head Teacher should also be included)
- Provide an indigene confirmation letter signed by the CDC Chairman or Chief in his/her community
- Provide an Identification letter from his/her Local Government Council
- Not be a child or ward of staff of NLNG Limited.
It should be of note that prospective pupils are admitted into the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) post-primary scholarship scheme is based on an excellent performance at the annual National Examinations Council’s (NECO) Common Entrance Examinations.
