JAMB Admission Requirements

If you will be sitting for the 2024 JAMB and wish to gain admission into Mcpherson University through UTME. For entry into the 100 level,

Five credit passes in O-level certificate at not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics and three subjects relevant to the applicant’s choice of study.
Candidates must sit for the 2024 UTME ( Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination). Additionally, the applicant must score at least 160 in the Examination before the University can consider them for the 2024/2025 admission.
Also, Applicants must ensure they choose the right subject combination relevant to their choice of study.
Only applicants who satisfy the school cut-off would be eligible for the post-UTME screening.

Direct-Entry Admission Requirements

Direct Entry candidates will be permitted to join their programme of choice in year two. Provided they meet the Mcpherson University general DE requirements;

At least two ‘A’ level passes in subjects relevant to the applicant’s choice of study.
Candidates with an Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate, Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) holders, or any other relevant certificate are also eligible to apply.

Is it Called IJMB or JUPEB in Mcpherson University?

Mcpherson University offers a JUPEB program. The programme leads to the award of the JUPEB Certificate, which qualifies the candidates for consideration for Direct Entry (D/E) admission through JAMB into McPherson University or other Universities in Nigeria.

JUPEB to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

The JUPEB admission process takes you to the 200 level for candidates looking to apply at Mcpherson University (MCU) for the 2024/2025 academic session. The following are necessary to gain admission with IJMB;

Five credit passes in O-level certificate at not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics and three subjects relevant to the applicant’s choice of study.
All participants must possess at least 8 points with the necessary subject combinations.
Candidates must have the right subject combinations in their respective fields of study.

Inter-University Transfer Undergraduate Admission Criteria

Students from other universities who wish to transfer to McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo:

Firstly, Candidates must apply for the appropriate transfer form and pay the prescribed fees.
Complete the forms and send them along with their academic transcripts and confidential report from the Registrar of their University to the Registrar of McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, within the stipulated time allowed before the admission exercise.

Mcpherson University (MCU) invites applications for PART-TIME STUDIES from prospective students with the following qualifications and desire a BA or B.Sc:

MBA Basic Admission Requirements

The criteria for admission into the MBA will be as follows:

Firstly, An MBA candidate must have five credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects at O’ Level as the essential requirement.
Secondly, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (BA or B.Sc.) in accounting, finance, banking, economics, insurance, marketing, business administration, and other related disciplines. Candidates must obtain a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in their Bachelor’s degree.
Also, HND with professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, ANAN, ACMA, ACIT, AIB, ACIS).
HND with PGD
Additionally, Professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, ANAN, ACMA, ACIT, AIB, ACIS) with a PGD in any of the Management Sciences.
Holders of a Bachelor’s degree in any other discipline with industrial experience are equally eligible to apply. Candidates must obtain a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in their Bachelor’s degree.
They must have completed the mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme or have been exempted, as the case may be.

Doctoral Degree (PhD) Programme( Computer Science)

Applicants looking to Apply for a Doctoral Degree (PhD) at Mcpherson University (MCU) 2024/2025 session should check out the following;

Candidates must fulfil M.Sc. admission requirements. Candidates with an M.Sc. degree with an average of 60% in Computer Science from McPherson University or any other approved institution may be admitted to the Ph.D. program.
