About the Maritime Academy of Nigeria 

The maritime Academy of Nigeria formerly recognized as the Nautical College of Nigeria was established in 1979 by the federal executive Council No.EC (77) 172. It was designed as an integrated institution for the education and training of shipboard officers, ratings, and shore-based management personnel.

The Academy graduated its first batch of cadets in 1983. As of 1988, the college scope was upgraded by the promulgation Decree No. 16 of 1988 with a constitutional mandate to provide training to all levels and categories of personnel required for the effective and resourceful operation of all facets of the Nigerian Maritime Industry.

The Maritime Academy of Nigeria Cut-Off Mark 2020/2021 Academic session is stated below.

  • A minimum of 175 marks in the 2020/2021 UTME for:
  1. Nautical Science
  2. Marine Engineering and
  3. Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • A minimum of 160 marks in the 2020/2021 UTME for Maritime Transport and Business Studies.
