This is to inform the general public about the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in short “LAUTECH” Direct Entry Form for the 2024/2025 Academic Session. Details about the form are given below.

LAUTECH Direct Entry Admission Form 2024/2025 Session

Notice is hereby given to all candidates who chose LAUTECH as their institution of first choice in the 2024/2025 Direct Entry that the portal for registration for admission to the various programmes in the University will be opened on Monday, August 5, 2024, and close on Friday, September 6, 2024. Oral and written interviews will be conducted for Direct Entry candidates on Tuesday, September 10 and Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

Applicants are to note that before the university can offer admission, they must have uploaded their Oโ€™level results on CAPS. Once admission is offered, the candidates must either accept or reject the offer on CAPS before JAMB closes CAPS for the exercise to be on the JAMB National Matriculation list.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applicants are to proceed to theย university’s admission portal at โ€œhttp://apply.lautech.edu.ngโ€ and make a payment of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only to register for the post-UTME exercise using anย Inter-Switch Enabled Debit Card (ATM card).

Applicants are also advised to familiarize themselves with the university’s available programmes, the Oโ€™Level entry requirements, and the UTME subject combination for each programme.

Applicants are expected to carefully complete and submit online application forms by uploading a clear digital copy of their passport photographs on a white background, which must be in JPEG and must not be more than 20kb.

Any applicant with a blurred picture on the acknowledgement page will not be admitted into the screening centre, as their passport photographs will be used to identify them. All candidates at the screening venue should present the acknowledgement page before admittance to participate in the exercise.

Candidates should note that meeting this requirement is mandatory. Applicants must provide valid and active e-mail addresses and phone numbers for easy communication.

Applicants awaiting results of NABTEB, NECO and WASC are also eligible to apply. However, the results must be uploaded on JAMB CAPS after their release. Results uploaded after the prescribed timeline may not be processed.

Also, inconsistency in names, state of origin and age on any result shall not be acceptable to the university and may lead to disqualification.

Candidatesโ€™ names on their Oโ€™Level results, other registration documents, and state of origin must be the same. Any applicant for Direct Entry admission who fails to present himself or herself for the oral and written interview as scheduled will automatically forfeit being considered for admission.

DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES

Direct Entry applicants, including those on the LAUTECH JUPEB programme or other institutionsโ€™ JUPEB programmes, who wish to be considered for admission for the 2024/2025 academic session must have obtained Direct Entry forms from JAMB to be eligible for the oral and written screening exercise.

Candidates are also expected to forward their transcripts to the Registrar, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, not later than one (1) week before the date of the screening exercise.

Applicants are to please visit theย university’s admission portal atย http://apply.lautech.edu.ng to complete and submit their applications, ensuring strict compliance with the university’s admission requirementsย before applying for any of its programmes.

ELIGIBILITY

LAUTECH will admit only applicants with Credit in at least five (5) relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE/NECO/NATEB for UTME. The University accepts a minimum of Upper Credit for National Diploma candidates, NCE, HND, RNS and JUPEB for Direct Entry candidates, with five (5) Credit passes in relevant subjects in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB. However, applicants to Medicine, Nursing and Medical Laboratory Science are expected to have at least a Credit pass in five (5) relevant Oโ€™Level subjects at one sitting to be qualified for admission. Applicants should be at least sixteen (16) years of age to qualify for admission to any programme in the University.

Applicants are also advised to carefully study the university brochure as provided on the university admissions portal page to guide them in completing their application forms.

WARNING

Applicants who provide false information to secure admission to any of the University programmes and, upon discovery at any point in time, will be handed over to law enforcement agencies for prosecution, and the admission of such candidates shall be withdrawn. Applicants are also advised to BEWARE OF FRAUDSTERS as the University will not be liable for any transaction with unauthorised persons (s).
