Lagos State University in short “LASU” Sandwich Degree Programme FCE Abeokuta Campus Matriculates New Students. A matriculation ceremony was conducted on Friday 4th December for students admitted for the 2020 Modula year by the Lagos State University Sandwich Degree Programme, Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta campus.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof Olanrewaju Fagbohun, SAN, NPOM was represented by the Dean Faculty of Education, LASU, Professor Tunde Owolabi. Professor Tunde Owolabi congratulated the newly admitted students for scaling through the admission process. They were all implored to take their studies with all seriousness so that they can achieve the academic excellence that LASU is known for as the institution is seen as the 2nd best University in Nigeria by Times Higher Education (THE) global ranking.
The professor further said “as potential teachers and opinion moulders you must be above board in all your deeds and set a high moral standard for yourself which is key to success in life”.
The matriculation oath was administered by the Deputy Registrar, Academic Staff Establishment, LASU Mr David Ogungbe who represented the Registrar, Mr Olayinka Amuni, Esq.
Professor Olusola Oladipupo, the Director of LASU Sandwich Degree Programme congratulated the matriculating students and the management of FCE, Osiele, Abeokuta was also commended for their understanding and commitment to the programme.
The number of students who were matriculated is Six Hundred and Forty Eight (648) students.
