About the LASU Post UTME & Direct Entry Screening Form for 2020/2021 Academic Session

Lagos State University (LASU) is now inviting applications from all suitably qualified candidates for admission for the 2020/2021 admission screening exercise (Regular Students Without Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Training), for all candidates looking forward to admission through the UTME (100 level) and Direct Entry. This ONLINE screening exercise is a mandatory requirement for entering into the Lagos State University. The Tuition Fees for the Regular Students without Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Training is Sixty-seven Thousand, Forty-eight Naira, Fifty Kobo (N67,048.50) per session.

Lagos State University (LASU) is now inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the Lagos State University 2020/2021 Admission Screening Exercise (Regular student with Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Training), for candidates looking forward to admission via UTME (100 level ONLY). This ONLINE screening exercise is mandatory for the requirement for admission into the B.Sc./B.A. WITH CERTIFICATES IN ENTERPRENUESHIP PROGRAMME of the Lagos State University. The Tuition Fees for the Regular student with Comprehensive Entrepreneurship is One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N150,000.00) per session.

Post UTME & Direct Entry Eligibility

  • Candidates that selected the Lagos state university as their first-Choice institution in the 2019 Unified Tertiary matriculation examinations (UTME), and have scored a minimum of 190 marks are eligible to take part in the online admission screening exercise. Also, candidates are expected to be 16 years of age by 1st October 2020.
  • All Pre-degree Studies (PDS) Students that have completed their studies and are looking forward to be considered for admission into the Lagos State University as their first-choice institution in the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME), and have scored at least 190 marks are eligible to take part in the online admission screening exercise.
  • All the Direct entry candidates, along with LASU Foundation (JUPEB) Programme, that wishes to be considered for admission into the Lagos State University for the 2020/2021 Academic session, and must have acquired direct entry form from JAMB are eligible and are expected to apply for the screening exercise.
  • Candidates of Lagos State Origin, for 100 and 200 levels who have provided proof of their claims before the independent indigene ship Verification Committee (IIVC) set up by the Lagos State University, would have claims automatically validated in the Online Admission Screening exercise.

How to Apply

LASU POST UTME ONLINE PAYMENT REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

  1. All the prospective candidates are expected to visit lasu.edu.ng
  2. Point to Student, then click on New Applicants.
  3. After that, click on UTME/DE Screening (screening.lasu.edu.ng)
  4. Enter your
  • UTME REGISTRATION NUMBER,
  • SURNAME, then Click on PROCEED
  1. On the new page that appears, enter the
  • GSM Number,
  • Parent GSM Number,
  • Email Address
  • Click on submit
  1. On the page that appears next, click on
  • Make your Payment for LASU Post UTME Screening
  • choose Regular student Or Regular student with Entrepreneurship TAB.
  • The candidate’s Name and the Sum of N2,000 Will Be shown to you.
  • Click Make Payment to affect the Payment (On Either REMITA Platform or PAYSTACK Platform)
  1. Once a successful payment has been made, go back to screening.lasu.edu.ng and then click on login other to view your screening pin (PIN 1, PIN 2, PIN 3 etc., depending on the payment platform)
  2. Once you have acquired the registration PIN, proceed to Lidc.lasu.edu.ng.
  3. Click on Admission Screening
  4. After that click on UTME Candidate login
  5. Enter your UTME Registration Number, and your surname, then click on Proceed, Then click the “Start Admission Screening” button.
  6. At this moment, your basic bio-data information would be displayed. Select either REGULAR STUDENT ADMISSION SCREENING OR REGULAR STUDENT WITH ENTREPRENEURSHIP ADMISSION SCREENING from “Type of Screening”, then enter/purchase the LASU POST UTME SCREENING PIN in other to continue with the filling of the Self-Screening form.
  7. Once you have completed the application, print out a copy of the Temporary Self-Screening Report. Students are to NOTE that all Screened Candidates are expected to log in to their Admission Screening Portal to Print out their Final Self-Screening Report.
  8. Candidates can go through the above procedure again if there is a need to update/effect correction(s) on the earlier supplied records. With this, the candidate would be required to visit screening.lasu.edu.ng and then make payment for PIN 2, PIN 3, PIN 4, etc. The subsequent PINs other than PIN 1 can be made use of for data correction.

Online Self-Screening Form for All Candidates

  1. Step I: After making a successful payment for the LASU 2020/2021 admission screening exercise, go back to the screening.lasu.edu.ng and then click the LOGIN button to print out your screening pin.
  2. Step II: Make use of the UTME registration number and surname to login to the LASU Online Screening Platform at https://services.lidc.lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening, enter your SCREENING PIND acquired in step 1 to continue.

Candidates are expected to possess five O’level credits in subjects that is relevant to their desired course of study at a maximum of two sittings, except medicine and dentistry that require Only 1 sitting.

Candidates that are looking forward to studying any Engineering course and want to make use of two sittings of O’Level results are expected to be in possession of Six (6) O’Level credits in mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language, one other science subject, and any other subject.

Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering requires a credit pass in further mathematics.

Possess Credit passes in English Language is compulsory for admission into all the courses at Lagos State University.

Candidates are expected to ensure that they upload their O’level results on JAMB CAPS before the closure of the Admission Screening exercise.

All the candidates that are of Lagos State Origin are expected to have proved their claims before the independent Indigene ship Verification Committee (IIVC) that is set up by the Lagos State University, as their claim would be validated automatically before they can decide to proceed with the screening online.

  1. Step IV
  • Students should carefully review preview all the details supplied and certify that they are correct.
  • Check the “I Certify” button if you agree with all the details that is displayed in the preview.
  • By ticking on the “I Certify” button, the Candidate confirms that the screening would be premised only on the supplied information as the screening decision is the final. If you fail to agree to the stated terms, you would not be permitted to proceed beyond this point.
  • Click on the continue icon.
  1. Step V
  • After making the submission, you would be redirected to the screening homepage
  • Enter the UTME registration Number then click on Download Result in other to generate your screening report.

Online Screening Grading for All Candidates

The screening of candidates would be based on the point grading system, making use of the UTME Score and SSCE (or equivalent) Grades in Five best relevant subjects to candidate’s choice of course.

The relevant subjects are obtainable from the 2020 JAMB brochure available online at www.jamb.gov.ng or http://ibass.jamb.gov.ng/ebrochure.html.

Candidates are expected to go to the JAMB website in other to study the O’Level subject requirements for their course of choice before taking part in the online admission screening.
