LASU Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Eligibility

Applicants seeking entry into Lagos State University (LASU) for its full-time undergraduate program for the 2024/2025 academic session. Can gain admission through the following process;

JAMB
Pre- Degree
Direct- Entry
IJMB/JUPEB
Inter-Unitersity Transfer.

Generally, All applicants must meet the minimum entry requirement of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics at GCE O’ Level/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents at not more than two sittings.

JAMB Admission Requirements

Suppose you’re seeking admission into Lagos State University through the JAMB admission process into a 100-level. Candidates should look to meet the following requirements;

Firstly, Candidates must possess Credits in at least five (5) O’Level subjects, including English and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
Candidates must have chosen Lagos State University as their First Choice of institution in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Candidates must surpass the minimum cut-off of 195 in the JAMB result.
Also, candidates must be at least 16 years old by 1 October 2024.
Additionally, Only candidates surpassing the minimum cut-off are eligible for the school’s online admission screening exercise.

Is it Called Remedial or Pre-Degree in LASU?

Lagos State University calls it a Pre-Degree program. The school’s pre-degree program aims to prepare students for entry into the undergraduate program at the 100 level. It also helps prepare applicants who previously did not meet the school’s undergraduate admission requirement to gain entry.

Pre-Degree to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Candidates must have completed all pre-degree studies (PDS) before they can be considered for admission into the school’s full-time undergraduate program for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Also, candidates must have chosen Lagos State University. as their First Choice institution in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Applicants must have scored at least 195 marks and can participate in the Online Admission Screening Exercise.

Remedial to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Direct-Entry Admission Requirements

All Direct Entry applicant(s) are required to purchase and process the 2024 JAMB Direct Entry Form. Lagos State University (LASU) accepts the following for Direct Entry Admission into the 200 Level:

Candidates must possess Credits in at least five (5) O’Level subjects, including English and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.

Also, Only candidates with a LASU Diploma are acceptable for Direct Entry (DE) Admission. Except for NCE into the Faculty of Education Programmes
Candidates must have chosen Lagos State University as their First Choice of Institution.

Is it Called IJMB or JUPEB in LASU?

For applicants interested in the A-level program, it is called the JUPEB at Lagos State University(LASU). Furthermore, Applicants who meet the school’s JUPEB requirements would gain admission directly into the 200 Level.

IJMB to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

JUPEB to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Prospective candidates must ensure they meet the required minimum cut-off points for admission to the program of their choice. This must include A-Level passes in passes in relevant subjects.

Inter-University Transfer Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Candidates interested in transferring from any recognised university to Lagos State University. They must meet the following requirements before being considered for admission into the school.

Firstly, Applicants must satisfy O-level requirements by possessing five (5) O-level credits in subjects relevant to their desired course of study, including English and Mathematics, at not more than two (2) sittings.
Secondly, Applicants must have completed 200 Level when applying for transfer.
Applicants must exhibit clean moral and academic records in the current institute.
Lastly, Applicants must have a solid CGPA of at least an upper 2.1 to be considered for admission.

LASU Part-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

All applicants seeking admission to the LASU part-time program for the 2024/2025 academic session must satisfy all O-level requirements.

Candidates must possess five (5) O-level credits in subjects relevant to their desired course of study, including English and Mathematics, at at least two (2) sittings.
Candidates must be at least the age of 18.
Also, candidates with OND/HND and LASU Diplomas in relevant courses are all eligible for admission.

LASU Sandwich Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Suppose you seek a sandwich degree at LASU for the 2024/2025 academic session. Applicants must meet the following requirements.

Candidates must possess five (5) O-level credits in subjects relevant to their desired course of study, including English and Mathematics, at at least two (2) sittings.

Applicants must possess five [5] ‘0’ Level Credit or TCII Merit Passes at not more than two [2] sittings and two [2] of the subjects at ‘A’ Level or NCE Merit Passes in relevant areas.
Applicants must possess a University/Polytechnic two [2] -year Diploma Certificate in the relevant area obtained at not less than Merit level.

Special/HND to Undergraduate Degree Top-Up Admission Requirements

Applicants with HND can successfully do a top-up degree at the Lagos State University, provided they meet the school’s requirements. The school provided no information on its website for its degree top-up requirements.
