LASU Best Graduating Student Becomes International Ambassador for IVC
The International Vocational Center (IVC) has made the best graduating student of Lagos State University (LASU) for the 2018/2019 academic session her ambassador for her World Free Education Programme.
The student who goes by the name Oladimeji Shotunde. On Wednesday 16th December 2020, his appointment was made public during the 24th Convocation Ceremonies of the University. Shotunde also received several awards in recognition of his academic feat.
Oladimeji was also presented with a cash reward of Five Hundred Thousand Naira in addition to his IVC Ambassadorial appointment. There was also an announcement that a project will be built in his name in the university.
Dr. Pedro Manuwa founded the organization, International Vocational Center (IVC) . The founder is an international liaison officer and an entrepreneur who possess a distinct character. A Japanese trained Doctor of letters, he is also a Turkish-Nigeria trained orator of international repute. Leverage is given to brilliant but indigent students in Nigeria by the International Vocational Center through its scholarship scheme. They believe that this initiative will be of help in motivating those coming behind towards attaining academic excellence.
Any graduating students who is able to do better than Shotunde’s 4.95 CGPA in the next three years wilk get a cash prize of one million naira from Dr. Manuwa as an encouragement to other students.
