About Kano University of Science and Technology
The university was established as “The Kano University of Technology” (KUT) in the year 2001. It was later renamed as “Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil” in 2005. It was renamed in conformity to the Gazette laws of the institution/university.
The university offers a wide range of courses in different faculties. The university is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The institution expects aspirants to meet certain criteria in order to be considered for admission.

Candidates who have obtained these JAMB cut-off mark are the ones who are eligible to sit for the institution’s Post UTME Screening examinations. It should however be noted that candidates who score more than the minimum point have higher chances of admission in comparison to those who scored the exact minimum.
KUST Admission Screening
The university usually kicks off her screening exercise within a week or a couple of weeks. The screening exercise of Kano University of Science and Technology usually comes in two phases. Students who applied for admission in the university are to proceed for the screening exercise as announced by the institution. The documents that are required for the screening are usually SSCE results and JAMB registration print out.
Candidates should avoid lateness and arrive there early so as to locate his/her screening venue on time. Candidates who merited the admission will be invited for another screening exercise, and the documents needed are:
- Original copies of candidate’s educational qualifications also known as statements of results/certificates.
- Candidate’s Birth Certificate/ Age Declaration.
- A letter of good conduct written by the candidate’s Village Head. The letter can also be written by a responsible member of the Candidate’s community or a civil servant that is not below Grade Level 10 or equivalent in the private sector.
- Candidate’s certificate of Local Government of origin and also the notification of admission status slip.
