About the 2023 Kosovo 2.0 Journalism Scholarship Program
The Kosovo 2.0 is happy to announce that it is continuing its journalism scholarship program within the “Journalism Hub” platform that aims to empower young voices in the field of journalism.
This will be done by providing (1) training, (2) mentoring, and (3) financial support to early-career journalists, giving them the opportunity to produce, under the supervision of experienced editors, stories of large and awarded with prizes, which have as their point of view the field of human rights.
Fellows must prepare a long-form journalistic article (up to 4,000 words) or a video/documentary/short film (10-20 minutes), or a photo essay with a human rights perspective –– if you have ideas for other journalistic formats are welcome.
Fellows will work with K2.0 editors to carry out their research. The proposals we expect to accept must directly address human rights in Kosovo, including but not limited to gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, minority rights, civil rights, workers’ rights, and environmental issues. The research will be published in our online journal.
To join our bus program you must be:
- young journalist, independent, employed or not;
- citizen of Kosovo and living in Kosovo;
- journalist in the 18-35 age group;
- journalist with at least two years of proven experience in journalism.
