About the Kano State Announces the School Resumption Date for JSS1 & SS1 Students
The Kano state government has approved the full resumption of JSS 1 and SS1 students in both public and private schools in the state. This was disclosed by the commissioner of education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru.
He stated that all the JSS 1 and SS 1 that are in boarding schools are expected to resume tomorrow Sunday the 15th November 2020 while those in the day schools are expected to resume 16th November 2020.
Subsequently, the pupils of primary schools 1-6 are expected to resume fully starting from next Monday as against the earlier directives that categorize dates for their going to school.
Then he further called for the attention of the parents whose children are in those classes to comply by returning them on the slated dates.
The commissioner further directed that the directors/principals and other stakeholders are to prepare for the commencing resumption exercise.
It could be recalled that JSS 1 and SS 1 were directed to stay at home for about a period of five weeks.
