However, there may be rumours going around that some Tertiary institutions set the cut-off mark of courses such as Pharmacy, Medicine Nursing, etc at about 250 to 270.

As said earlier, those are rumours and this is because if you carefully look at the factors which determine the best JAMB score that guarantees your admission to study any course in Universities or Polytechnics. These factors are mentioned below;

  • The performance and result of the candidate
  • Competition of the course in your preferred University.
  • The number of students to be admitted that year.
  • Other admission factors such as merit, catchment, and educationally less developed states.
