The examination body gave each of the winners a certificate and the sum of N75 million. The institutions were appreciated by the JAMB Registrar, Professor Is-haq Oloyede for their outstanding performance in the previous year. He also encouraged other institutions to emulate the winning institution.

The winners were congratulated by Mr. Adamu and the efforts of the board towards ensuring excellence in the country’s tertiary institutions were also applauded. The awards “were one of the government’s reward systems and interventions to institutions” as stated by Mr. Adamu.

At the first edition of the program in 2019, JAMB supported the Tertiary Institutions with the sum of N125 million, and this year, the institutions were supported with the sum of N375 million by the board.

This can be seen as an excellent gesture by the board. Mr. Adamu stated that “I am aware that the board’s support for the education sector cuts across the Basic, Senior School, and Tertiary Education through its Corporate Social Responsibility Agenda”.

According to him, contributions to the educational system should not be limited only from the budgetary allocation of the government to the sector.
