Newly admitted students of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education and the general public are hereby informed about IAUE Matriculation Ceremony Date for Newly Admitted Students 2019/2020 Academic Session. The date for the 2019/2020 matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students has been fixed by the management of the institution.

2019/2020 IAUE Matriculation Ceremony Schedule

Students who were admitted for the 2019/2020 academic session are to note that Saturday, November 7th, 2020 has been approved for the date of their Matriculation ceremony. The matriculation ceremony will hold at 10 am prompt and will hold at the University Auditorium, Rumuolumeni Campus.

The ceremony shall be conducted in groups as stated below in compliance with the COVID 19 safety protocols:

Group 1

  • Faculties of Business Studies and Humanities
  • Time: 10.a.m.

Group 2

  • Faculties of Education and Social Sciences
  • Time: 11:30 a.m.

Group 3

  • Faculties of Natural and Applied Sciences and Vocational and Technical Education
  • Time: 1.00 p.m.

Part-time students are required to go to the Centre for Continuing Education to collect their Matriculation gowns but are to join their various faculties in the procession and Matriculation.

Other Important Details

The Senate of the institution at its meeting which was held on Wednesday 28th October 2020 in compliance with the COVID 19 safety protocols and in ensuring the protection of every member of the University Community approved that:

  • Visitors (Parents, Family members, Friends, and the General Public) will not be given permission to enter the University Campus during the matriculation ceremony.
  • Students, Groups, Associations, Clubs, and Fellowships are not allowed to make celebrations anywhere on the University campus.
  • Wearing face masks throughout the ceremony is compulsory for every participant (Staff, Students, and Officials).
  • It is compulsory that every participant (Staff, Students, and Officials) walk through the Sanitizing tunnel into the Auditorium.

To avoid any form of embarrassment, all matriculating students are to strictly adhere to the directives stated above. It is compulsory that all Matriculating students sign the Matriculating Registrar, no unsigned number will be given recognition by the University.

All Matriculating students who have paid school fees, duly registered, and have paid for the hire of their gowns are to visit their various Faculty Officers to collect their gowns from Wednesday 4th November 2020. The matriculation numbers are already available and students can find them on their profile in the university portal.

The Security Department of the university is being directed to enforce compliance with the above-stated directive of the University Senate by a copy of this notice.
