On behalf of the governing council, staff, and students, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele (BA, MA, Ph.D. UPH) invites the general public to the 38th Convocation ceremony of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

Latest Update: IAUE COVID-19 Safety Protocols for the Convocation Ceremony

This post has been written to give detailed information to the public about IAUE COVID-19 Safety Protocols for Convocation Ceremony. Safety measures against COVID 19 have been released by the management of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) for the convocation ceremony which has been slated to hold on Friday 18th December 2020 for the award of Bachelor’s Degrees and Prizes and also on 19th December 2020 for the award of Higher Degrees.

The following guidelines are to be followed strictly to ensure the protection of every member of the University community during the ceremony:

  • During the ceremony, entry will not be allowed to any visitor (Parents, Family Members, Friends, Well-Wishers, and the General Public) into the University Campus.
  • Celebration anywhere on the University campus by any graduand, groups, association, clubs, and fellowship will not be allowed.
  • It is compulsory for every participant (Staff, Graduands, and Officials) to walk through the Sanitizing Tunnel before entering the auditorium.

It is advisable that everyone adheres to the above instructions strictly to avoid any embarrassment.

The security department is being directed to enforce compliance to the above directives of the university by a copy of this notice.

IAUE Convocation Ceremony Programme of Events

The management of the IAUE has scheduled the 38th convocation ceremony to hold on Friday 18th December 2020 for the award of Bachelor’s Degrees. The award of Doctorate Degrees Master’s degrees and postgraduate diplomas will take place on Saturday 19th December 2020. The major events of the convocation ceremony are highlighted below:

Sunday 13th December 2020

  • Event: 38th Convocation thanksgiving mass
  • Venue: St Augustine catholic chaplaincy Rumuolumeni campus
  • Time: 10:00 am

Monday,14th December 2020

  • Event: Collection of Academic gowns by graduands
  • Venue: Respective Faculty offices and postgraduate schools
  • Time: 10:00am

Friday 18th December 2020

  • Event: Conferment of Bachelor’s Degrees
  • Venue: University auditorium Rumuolumeni campus
  • Time: 9:00am Prompt

Saturday 19th December 2020

  • Event: Commission of projects conferment of PGD, Master’s And Doctorate Degrees
