HUKPOLY Certificate Course Admission Requirements
There are several courses to take up in Hassan Usman Katsina (HUKPOLY), and below expect the courses and their requirements. they include:
Certificate In Science Laboratory Technology (CSLT) Programme
- You are expected to possess two passes in any two pure science subjects (Mathematics inclusive) or SSCE, NECO, NABTEB ordinary level.
- Possess a pass in any pure or applied science subject at SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB ordinary level including a minimum of three years of working experience in a laboratory.
Elementary Mechanical Automotive Technician Certificate (EMEATC), Block Laying and Concreting (BLCC), and Elementary Electrical Installations Costing and Contracting (EEICC) Programmes
- BATC with a year of experience in any relevant industry
- You are expected to possess a Trade test Grade II in any related filed with credit in technical or vocational training.
- Possess three (3) passes in any relevant subjects in WASC, SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB Ordinary level acquired in a maximum of two sittings
- Any other qualification the institution recognizes.
Intermediate Mechanical and Automotive Technician Certificate Programme (IMEATC)
- Elementary EATC/EMTC acquired at credit level or pass level with a minimum of a year of working experience
- City and Guilds part 1 or trade Test III in any of the relevant field with evidence of technical or vocational training
- Possess four passes in the relevant subjects in WASC, SSCE, NECO, GCE or NABTEB Ordinary level in a Maximum of two sittings.
Certificate in Agricultural Technology (CAT)
- Expected to possess a minimum of three passes in NECO, SSCE, NABTEB, GCE ordinary level, or their equivalent two of which are expected to be in science subjects.
Certificate in Catering and Hotel Management (CCHM)
- Must have Written SSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB ordinary level or an examination equivalent to them of which two of which must be in Science subjects.
Advanced Certificate in Catering and Hotel Management (ACCHM)
- Holders of the certificate in catering and hotel management or its equivalent from any institution that is recognized
Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics (CND)
- Must have sat for SSCE, NABTEB, NECO, GCE ordinary level or their equivalent with a minimum of at least a pass in the relevant subjects.
Assistant Library Officer’s Certificate (ALO)
- SSCE, GCE, NABTEB, NECO with a minimum of three passes
- Candidates who possess a library assistant certificate (LA)
- Library assistance with a working experience of at least 2 years of working experience
- Candidates are expected to submit hard copies of their duly completed application form and other credentials to the academic division of the polytechnic for screening/verification accordingly.
How to Apply
Candidates who are interested in the HUKPOLY Certificate Course Admission Form for the 2020/2021 Academic Session are expected to make a payment of Two thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only after which they would be required to fill a profile a page, print out a copy or two and submit a copy to the academic office. They are also expected to make a payment of One Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N1,500.00) only just for verification.
Candidates who are eligible are to make their payment via the students’ portal at portal.hukpoly.edu.ng. cash payment is not accepted at the polytechnic.
