This is in compliance with the directive given by the Niger State Government that all private and public schools be closed so that the second wave of the COVID 19 pandemic be curtailed. The directive that the university is closed was contained in a letter which was issued on Friday, December 18th, 2020 by the University Registrar, Mr. Amos Nmadu Kolo.

The letter clearly stated that staff of the University, security services, and health services who are on essential duties are to be around during the close of the institution to provide required services. All-round surveillance is to be ensured by security personnel for both campuses to ensure the security of the university properties.

There should be obedience of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) COVID 19 safety protocols by people who are entering the University for any purpose which includes religious purposes.

Members of staff and the university community are advised by the management to stay safe by observing all precautionary measures on COVID 19 pandemic as provided by the Federal and State Governments.
