FUOYE Undergraduate Admission Requirements 2024/2025

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Pre-degree
programme of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) Ekpoma for the 2024/2025 academic session.

FUOYE Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

The admission requirements into the undergraduate programmes of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) Ekpoma shall be as follows:

Candidates who obtained a UTME Score of 180 and above.

Is it Called Remedial or Pre-Degree in FUOYE?

At the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), it is called a pre-degree program. The pre-degree program is a one-year program that prepares students to sit for JAMB and qualifying examination conducted annually.

A successful candidate in both studies is automatically qualified for admission into the 100 level of FUOYE.

Pre-Degree to Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Prospective Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB at a maximum of two sittings, including.

English Language for all courses.
Mathematics for Science-based Management.
Science-based and social Science-based courses.
Literature-in-English for Arts courses.

Candidates must pass JAMB and meet or surpass the school cut-off mark of 180.

Candidates are to ensure they meet the required minimum final Pre-Degree exam cut-off marks for admission to the programme of their choice.

Direct-Entry Admission Requirements

Candidates must possess at least two ‘A’ Level passes (or its equivalent) in relevant subjects.

Alternatively, they can have an ND (Upper Credit), NCE (Credit Pass), HND (minimum of Lower Credit), or an excellent first degree in another field, as the case may be.

Do FUOYE Offer JUPEB or IJMB Programme?

The advanced level programme candidates can apply for at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) is JUPEB.

FUOYE Part-Time Degree Admission Requirements

For candidates who want to obtain a part-time Undergraduate degree with the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) Ekpoma.

Eager students must possess five credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects to be considered for admission into the courses provided by the CCE at FUOYE.

However, the FUOYE Degree Admission requirement is the same as the Full-Time requirement.

Note: the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is excluded from a part-time degree.

Sandwich Undergraduate Degree Admission Requirements

B.Sc (ED) AGRICULTURE: 4-YEAR DEGREE CONTRACT

Five (5) O’level passes at SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB/TC II at credit level, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agriculture Science and Chemistry. Candidate also must possess any of the following:

NCE Merit pass in Agriculture Science;
A’ level passes in two of Agriculture Science/Biology, and Chemistry; or
OND in Agriculture Science

B.Sc (Ed) AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE EDUCATION: 5-YEAR CONTACT

Candidates must possess 5 O’level credit passes, including Biology/Agriculture Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language.

B.Sc (Ed) BUSINESS EDUCATION: 4-YEAR CONTACT

Five (5) O’level credit passes, which must include the English Language,
Mathematics, Economics and other subjects at not more than two sittings.

Candidate also must possess any of the following:

I received a merit pass in NCE in business education secretarial studies.

B.Sc (Ed) BUSINESS EDUCATION: 5 YEAR CONTACT

Five (5) O’level credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other subjects at least two sittings.

B.Sc (Ed) ECONOMICS 4 YEAR CONTACT

At least five (5) O’level credits must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and other social science subjects.

Candidate also must possess any of the following:

Merit pass and above passes in Economics and any relevant Social Science subject
A’Level passes in Economics and one Social Science subject with a grade below 4 points.

B.Sc (Ed) ECONOMICS: 5 YEAR CONTACT

At least five (5) O’level credits must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and other social science subjects.

B.A.Ed. ENGLISH: 4-YEAR CONTACT

Five (5) O’level credit passes must include English Language, Literature in English and three other subjects from Arts and Social Sciences with at least a pass in Mathematics.

Candidate also must possess any of the following:

NCE in two Arts subjects, one of which must be Literature in English.
A’ level passes in two Arts subjects, which must include Literature in English, with a grade not lower than 11 points.

B.A.Ed. ENGLISH: 5-YEAR CONTRACT

Candidates must possess five (5) O’Level subjects at not more than two sittings, which must include English Language, Literature in English, and two other subjects in Arts/Social Sciences with a pass in Mathematics.

B.Sc (Ed) BIOLOGY 4 YEAR CONTACT

At least merit pass and above at NCE in either chemistry or Geography in addition to the UTME requirement of 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry or Geography and Biology.

B.Sc (Ed) BIOLOGY 5 YEAR CONTACT

5 O’level credit passes at SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE should include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry or Geography, Biology and another subject.

Also, B.Sc (Ed) CHEMISTRY 4 YEAR CONTACT

Five (5) O’level credit passes at SSCE/NECO/NABTEB, or its equivalent, must include English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry. Candidate also must possess any of the following:

Merit pass in Chemistry Education at NCE.
A level passes, which must include Chemistry.

B.Sc (Ed) CHEMISTRY 5 YEAR CONTACT

5 O’level credit passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent must include English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry.

B.Sc. Ed. EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY: 4 YEAR CONTACT

Candidates should possess five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and any other two subjects at not more than two sittings.

Candidate also must possess any of the following:

At least Merit pass in NCE: Technical Education or its equivalent.
OND with Upper credit in Technical Education.
A level passes in any combination of Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with a grade not below 4 points.

B.Sc. Ed. EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY: 5 YEAR CONTACT

Candidates for admission into the programme should possess 5 O’level credits or equivalent, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry, and any other two subjects at least two sittings.

B.Sc. Ed. HEALTH EDUCATION: 4 YEAR CONTACT

Five (5) credit passes in O’level at not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other subjects.

Candidate also must possess any of the following:

Merit pass at NCE in Health Education.

B.Sc. Ed. HEALTH EDUCATION: 5 YEAR CONTRACT

Five (5) O’level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other subjects at least two sittings.

B.Sc. Ed. HUMAN KINETICS EDUCATION: 4-YEAR CONTRACT

Five (5) O’level passes at credit in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science/Integrated Science and any other two at least two sittings.

Candidate also must possess any of the following:

NCE in Physical and Health Education with Education.

B.Sc. Ed. HUMAN KINETICS: 5 YEAR CONTACT

HND to Undergraduate Degree Top-Up Admission Eligibility

Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level subjects at credit level in relevant subjects in not more than two (2) sittings in the subjects pertinent to their proposed programme.

English Language and Mathematics at credit level are compulsory for all candidates. A minimum of a Third Class or Pass division or HND certificate from a recognized institution is required for the programme.

Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate

Candidates with a 3rd Class and above in any area of Agriculture or related disciplines from recognized Universities.
Candidates with a Higher National Diploma in Agriculture or an allied discipline with not less than Upper Credit level.

Master’s Degree Programme

Minimum of second-class lower bachelor’s degree in agriculture (Agricultural economics) from recognized universities/institutions. Such degrees would include B.Tech Agriculture, B. Agriculture, B.Sc. Agriculture and its equivalent qualifications.
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Agriculture (Agricultural economics option) from recognized Universities/institutions with a CGPA of 3.5 and above. Also, I have at least one year of post-qualification experience. Such candidates may be required to take supplementary courses at the undergraduate level or to pass a qualifying examination.

Doctoral Degree (PhD) Programme

Candidates with M.Agric./M.Tech/M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics and related disciplines from other recognized institutions with a CGPA of not less than 4.0 or 60% in overall result. Where applicable, the candidate may be required to pass an oral qualifying examination.
Candidates with MPhil/PhD grades must pass courses that have deficiencies (below 60%) in their MSc with a minimum score of 60% of the courses taken. Also, the candidates must pass the M. Phil/Ph.D. conversion examination with an average score not below 60%.
Candidates who completed the M.Phil programmes with an average score not below 60%.

FUOYE Part-Time Postgraduate Admission Requirements

For candidates who want to obtain a part-time Postgraduate degree with the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) Ekpoma.
