Details About the FULAFIA New Vice-Chancellor

We are pleased to inform all students of the Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA), Lafia, Nasarawa State, and the general public that the new of their new Vice-Chancellor is Professor Shehu Abdur-Rahman. Before and until his appointment by the Governing Council of the University, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture in the university.

Out of the 43 people who contested for the position of Vice-Chancellor, the new Vice-Chancellor emerged as the best candidate hence his selection. His appointment was made public on Wednesday 25th November 2020 during the 5th Regular Meeting of the Governing Council of FULAFIA.

Professor Muhammad Sanusi Liman whose tenure came to an end on February 10th 2021 would be succeeded by Abdur-Rahman. This will actually be the second time that Professor Abdur-Rahman would be occupying the office of Vice-Chancellor as he was once the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Gashua, Yobe State before President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration in 2016 was truncated.

Professor Abdur-Rahman joined the services of the Federal University of Lafia in 2019 from the Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK).
