FUKASHERE Undergraduate Admission Requirements 2024/25

The Federal University of Kashere (FUKASHERE) has released its Undergraduate Admission Requirements for its 2024/2025 Acamedic Session. All undergraduate 100-level (UTME) Candidates looking for Admission into the institution mentioned earlier are to ensure they note the admission requirements below.

FUKASHER JAMB Admission Requirements

1. Candidates must have sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with a minimum score as approved by NUC and JAMB.

2. They must also obtain a minimum of five (5) credit passes at not more than two sittings in WAEC (SSCE)/ NECO (SSCE) or NABTEB. These should include English Language, Mathematics and any three other subjects relevant to the course of study.

Is it Called Remedial or Pre-Degree in FUKASHERE?

At the Federal University of Kashere (FUKASHERE), it is called a Remedial program. The Remedial program is a one-year program that prepares students to sit for the annual JAMB and qualifying examinations.

Admission into the Remedial Programme requires a minimum of five credits (at not more than two sittings) in SSCE, GCE, NECO, and NABTEB ordinary level in five relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

Direct-Entry Admission Requirements

Candidates for these programmes should be holders of HND in their respective fields of study. HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics is acceptable for Computer Science.

At the same time, professional certificates such as ACA, ACIB, ACIS, ACIN and ACIT are acceptable for Business Administration, Accountancy, or Finance and Banking.

Do EKSU Offer JUPEB or IJMB Programme?

The advanced level programme candidates can apply for at the Federal University of Kashere (FUKASHERE) is IJMB.

After an approved examination administered by the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), successful candidates are eligible for consideration for Direct Entry Admission into the undergraduate degree programmes of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti or any other University in Nigeria.

Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate

Candidates must have a minimum of a 3rd Class Division degree from the Federal University of Kashere or any other recognized university in the proposed programme of study. Holders of professional diplomas such as HND or equivalent are eligible to apply.

Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) Programme

Candidates must have a minimum of a 2nd Class Lower Division degree from the Federal University of Kashere or any other recognized university in the proposed programme of study.

Master’s Degree (MBA) Programme

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least a Second Class Lower Division from the Federal University of Kashere or any other recognized by the University Senate.

Candidates with a third-class bachelor’s degree or HND with a minimum of lower credit in a relevant discipline must have, in addition, a postgraduate diploma (PGD) with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 to qualify for admission.

Eligibility for M.Phil / PhD Programme

Masters of Philosophy (M.Phil)

To qualify for admission to the above programme:

(i) Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s honour degree from this University or any other approved University with at least a Second Class (Upper Division).

(ii) Candidates with a Master’s degree minimum CGPA of 3.50.

(iii) All candidates to the M.Phil. programmes must contact the respective department for the availability of supervisors before applying.

(iv) The candidate may be required to undergo a selection process as determined by the respective department.

Doctoral Degree (PhD) Programme

(i) A candidate who has obtained the degree of Master of Philosophy must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0.

(ii) A candidate who has obtained the degree of Masters of Science must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0.

(iii) Candidates must be clear with the respective Departments regarding the availability of vacancies/supervisors before applying.

(iv) All candidates may be required to undergo a selection process as determined by the department.

For M. Phil and Ph.D. programmes only, admission shall be processed at the beginning of each semester.
