The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi in short “FPTB” Matriculates 6,559 New Students for the 2019/2020 Academic Session and this post will be giving you detailed information on it. On Saturday, the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPTB) matriculated a total number of 6, 559 students. The Rector, Architect Sanusi Waziri Gumau while giving a breakdown of the matriculation ceremony said a total of 9,910 applications were admitted by the polytechnic.

According to him, 9,654 students were admitted but the number of students who were registered after meeting the necessary requirements is 6,559. The Rector while giving a breakdown of the classes of the registered students who have been matriculated made it known that 950 were for Diploma, 3125 for National Diploma, 2,421 for Higher National Diploma, and 93 for IJMB.

The ceremony was earmarked by the Academic Board of the Polytechnic to hold on April 2020 according to the statement of the Rector. However, due to the Corona Virus pandemic, the schools were forced to close academic exercises which called for a cancellation of the ceremony.

Approval has been given by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to the polytechnic to run nine-degrees courses in affiliation with the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi according to the statement of the Rector.

Four National Diploma Programmes were disclosed by Gumau which are; Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Urban and Regional Planning, and Crime Management.
