About the FCE Pankshin Post UTME Screening Form for 2020/2021 Academic Session

Suitably qualified candidates are hereby invited to apply for admission into the federal college of education Pankshin (FCEP) NCE and Degree programmes that would be taking place in the academic session of 2020/2021.

Admission Requirements

Candidates who are interested in the admission are expected to meet the eligibility requirement that I would be stating for you below.

JAMB Requirements

  • Jamb would not clear any candidates that have not uploaded their ‘O’ level result. Therefore, candidates are advised to visit any JAMB office or Jamb accredited CBT Centre in other to upload their ‘O’ level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) if they have not done that.
  • Candidates are also advised to go through the screening conditions for the college below before applying. any candidate who makes use of the wrong details for the application would be disqualified. Candidates are allowed to upload a maximum of two “O” level results.

College Requirements

  • The Academic board of college have approved that all candidates who have appeared to be qualified and applied for admission into the college during the 2020 UTME that was conducted by JAMB.
  • All interested candidates are expected to have chosen FCE Pankshin as the first choice and must have scored a minimum of 180 and a minimum of 120 points for degree and NCE respectively and the different scores available for various schools/programs/departments and course combinations as stated below.

Courses

– School of Vocational and Technical Education (NCE)

Agricultural Science: studying this course requires students to possess credits in English Language, Agricultural Science/Biology and any two of the following with a minimum of pass in Chemistry. Geography, Physics, Animal Husbandry, Chemistry or Economics.

Business Education: this course requires credit in Mathematics, English Language, Economics/Commerce, Economics. Including any two of the following: Financial Accounting, Commerce, Geography, Shorthand, Typewriting, Marketing, Office Practice, Business Methods.

Fine and Applied Arts: this requires students to possess Mathematics, English Language, Visual Arts and Any two of Arts or Science subject

Home Economics: this course requires Mathematics, English Language, and any three of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science, Integrated Sciences, Food and Nutrition, Home Management, Clothing and Textiles.

Technical Education: students studying this course are expected to possess credits in Mathematics, English Language. Including any three of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Woodwork, Metalwork, Technical Drawing.

– School of Adult and Non-Formal and Special Education (NCE)

All the programmes under this category require a minimum of five credit passes of which mathematics and English must be included.

Special Education: it accepts A level Diploma in special Education or NCE Special Education and three passes in relevant areas.

Adult Education: accepts diploma in Adult Education o Diploma in community diploma or development that has to do with social welfare with lower credit and above will be considered.

School of Early Childhood Care Education and Primary Education (NCE)

Early Childhood Care Education: this course requires Five credit passes including English, Mathematics, and Biology.

Primary Education requires Four-credit passes including English and Mathematics in a maximum of two sittings.

– School of Education (Degree)

Biology Programme: this course requires Five credits in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language, and any credit in Physics, Agricultural Science, and Geography.

Computer Science & Mathematics Programmes: Students going for this course requires Five credits in Physics, Mathematics, English Language, and other science subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Computer Science, and Geography.

Physical & Health Education: this Programme requires Five credits in Biology or Health Science, Mathematics, English Language and any other science subjects like Chemistry, Physics, and Agricultural Science.

Chemistry Programme: this course requires Five credits in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Language and any Science subject e.g. Biology

Physics Programme: this programmes requires Five credits in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English Language and any other science subject e.g. Biology

Integrated Science: this programmes requires Five credits in Mathematics, English Language and any science subjects i.e. Biology or Health Science, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science, Geography.

Direct Entry candidates: this programme requires at least 8 points with a minimum of merit or grade C in any of the Programme (Subjects) to be studied in addition to the ‘O’ level UTME requirements for the relevant programme in the sciences.

School of Languages (NCE)

Note: Cut off points for all the courses in School of Languages for NCE is 130 points excluding English/CRS and English/SOS they require 150 points.

Candidates who want to take up French, Arabic, Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba as Language two L2 does not necessarily require to have previous knowledge of the Languages, but must be interested in the study and general admission requirement,

O’Level Requirements: Candidates are expected to possess Four credits of which English Language must be included at a maximum of two sittings.

Two of the credits Are expected to be relevant to the course that the candidate is looking forward to offering.

Must possess a pass in Mathematics, may however be required in Arabic, French, English, Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba Combinations.

A Grade II Teachers Certificate with credit or merit in Five subjects at not more than two sittings, that is expected to be relevant to the course of study that the candidate wants to offer. Credit merit in English Language and a pass in Mathematics is required.

In addition to the admission requirements, all candidates want to go for NCE Arabic are expected to possess at least:

  • Credit or Merit in Arabic at Grade II Teachers Certificate level
  • Credit in Arabic at SSSC/WASC/GCE/NABTEB O Level
  • Altajihiyyah/Ath-thanwiyyah: Senior Arabic and Islamic Studies Certificate from Arabic Recognized Institutions in Nigeria or Abroad.

Successful Candidates in the Pre-NCE final Examination who also sat for the examination and succeeded in the selection examination organized by any accredited body would also be qualified for admission.

– School of Arts and Social Science (NCE)

Music: This course requires Five credits including English Language and any other Four subjects of which Two arts subjects or any Three arts and Social Science subjects must be included.

Christian Religious Studies: This programme requires Five credits in English Language, CRS, and any other relevant Arts and Social Science subjects with at least a pass in Mathematics.

Social Studies: This course requires Five credits in English Language and Mathematics in relevant subject areas.

How to Apply

Follow the steps stated below to apply for the FCE Pankshin Post UTME Screening:

  • First, you need to log into the college website of the university using this link.
  • Click on “apply now” located at the top right corner of the site.
  • Then click on “Apply for admission on the new page”
  • Enter your Jamb registration number
  • Generate invoice
  • After that, proceed to the bank to further make your payment using your ATM Card
  • Go back to the portal
  • Click on paid? Continue registration
  • Then Enter the RRR you made use of for the payment
  • Then enter your own password of your choice
  • Once the payment is confirmed, you would be required to click on login
  • Click on the Home link
  • Then click on login
  • Enter your jamb registration number then your password
  • Complete the date of Birth, and all other blank fields
  • Click on O/Level menu
  • Then enter your O/Level Subjects and Grades (also make sure to provide your examination number and date
  • For degree, click on the UTME menu and the right subjects and grades correctly
  • Print out your screening form and that is it.
