The various benefits for the Facebook Fellowship Program 2021 include:

  • $42,000 annual stipend to cover living and conference travel costs.
  • An expense-free visit to face headquarters for the annual Fellowship Summit. Current fellows are called to Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park as part of the program for the annual Fellowship Summit. Fellows can interact with other winners, share their research, speak with Facebook researchers, and learn more about research at Facebook.

Eligibility Criteria

  • All interested applicants for the Facebook Fellowship Program 2021 must be full-time Ph.D. students who are enrolled in an accredited University in any country by the beginning of the fellowship.
  • Students must participate in ongoing research related to one or more relevant disciplines.
  • Students have to be enrolled full-time for the duration of the program so as to gain access to program benefits.
  • Students are advised not to apply for a Facebook fellowship if they are already fully funded by Facebook through some other sponsorship or they are already being fully supervised by a Facebook researcher.

Evaluation Criteria

Applicants will be evaluated based on the following :

  • Publication record.
  • Recommendation letter
  • Strength of the student’s research statement.

Application Process

  • Applicants for the Facebook Fellowship Program 2021 are requested to provide the following documents:
  • A 500-word research summary identifying the area of focus, importance to the field, and applicant to Facebook of the expected research during the award.
  • Two letters of recommendation which includes one form an academic advisor. The references’ contact information will also be requested.
