ESUT Undergraduate Admission Requirements 2024/2025

Suppose you have been waiting on the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) admission process for 2024/2025. Listed below are the ESUT undergraduate degrees they offer and the admission requirements for each program. General requirements for the undergraduate admission process;

To begin with, all applicants must meet the minimum entry requirement of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics at GCE O’ Level/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB or their equivalents.
All candidates must have registered for JAMB.

ESUT Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements 2024/25

To gain admission into the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) full-time undergraduate degree Program. Candidates must fulfil the following requirements;

The Senior School Certificate (SSCE) or National Examination Council (NECO) or General Certificate Education (GCE) O’Level with passes at credit level in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics obtained in not more than two sittings.
All participants must have passed the year’s conducted UTME.
All participants must be 16 years or above.
Candidates must pass the school screening process.

JAMB Admission Requirements

Application who take the University Matriculation Examination (UME) may be admitted in the first year degree course provided that:

They have completed an entire class of training in a secondary school or an approved institution of equivalent status;
They are sixteen years of age or above on the first day of October in the year of their candidature;
Also, they reach the appropriate standard in the examination for entry to their degree programme in view;
The Senior School Certificate (SSCE) or National Examination Council (NECO) or General Certificate Education (GCE) O’Level with passes at credit level in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics obtained in not more than two sittings, except for candidate applying for medicine. SSC/GCE and combined with NECO.
All candidates for medicine must have five credits at a sitting, including English Language and Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Health Sciences.

Direct-Entry Admission Requirements

All Direct Entry applicant(s) are required to purchase and process the 2023 JAMB Direct Entry Form. Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) accepts the following for Direct Entry Admission into 2nd Year:

Possess at least two passes at the principal or advanced level, plus five credit passes at the SSCE/NECO/GCE O’Level in not more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics.
Passes in two primary subjects in the NCE with O’Level credits or equivalent in three other subjects (mainly for education courses).
Other qualifications acceptable to the Senate of the University and being equivalent to (a) and (b) above.
In addition to the above minimum admission requirements, candidates must also satisfy such Faculty/Departmental entry requirements.

HND to Degree Top-Up Admission Requirements

Unfortunately, there is no HND to degree top-up at this university right now.

Inter-University Transfer Degree Admission Requirements

Applicant(s) can transfer from other NUC accredited Universities to Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT). Provided they meet the following SAU Degree Admission Requirements;

All Candidates must purchase a transfer form from the academic office after paying a non-refundable fee and obtaining a bursary receipt for the price paid.
The completed form should be submitted along with transcripts of academic records to the admission office at least two weeks before enrollment in that session.
More importantly, Candidates applying shouldn’t be above 200 level studying a 4-year course in their previous university.
Only Applicants from other universities studying Law, Medicine, Nursing (B.N.Sc) with course duration of 5 and 6 years shall be allowed to transfer from 300 level.

ESUT Part-Time Undergraduate Admission Eligibility 2024/2025

ESUT doesn’t offer part-time science-related courses mainly due to the time required to cover the scope of work involved. Part-time programmes are only available at ESUT for social science and art courses. These are the general minimum requirements to gain Admission into Samuel Adegboyega University for a part-time undergraduate degree;

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 credits in WAEC/GCE, NECO, or NABTEB certificate. More importantly, results must include English Language and Mathematics.
Candidate must apply for the Part-Time degree and pay a non-refundable fee of the school requirement.

ESUT Postgraduate Admission Requirements 2024/2025

Suppose you have been waiting for the Enugu State University of Science and Technology process for the 2024/2025 academic session. Below are their postgraduate programs and their respective minimum requirements.

All applicants must meet the minimum entry requirement of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics at GCE O’ Level/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB or their equivalents.
In addition, Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree From an approved University must obtain a minimum of a pass degree in the relevant science discipline.

ESUT Full-Time Postgraduate Admission Eligibility 2024/2025

These are the general minimum requirements to gain Admission into Enugu State University of Science and Technology for any postgraduate program;

All candidates must have five credit passes, including English, Mathematics and two other relevant science subjects at ‘O’ Level.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree From an approved University must obtain a minimum of a pass degree in the relevant science discipline.
Candidates must be above the age of 18.

Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate

The following are the admission requirements for the ESUT Postgraduate Diploma degree:

Graduates of Enugu State University of Science and Technology or graduates from other approved universities who hold first-degree qualifications acceptable to the Senate.
Also, All candidates must have five credit passes, including English, Mathematics and two other relevant subjects at ‘O’ Level.
Next, Candidates who hold good grades of non-first degree qualifications, which are acceptable to the Senate. These include:
- HND (Upper Credit and Above) in relevant discipline;
- HND (Lower Credit) in relevant discipline plus five years of relevant post-qualification experience;
Holders of HND in relevant programmes from approved institutions with a minimum of upper credit may also be considered for admission.

Master’s Degree Programme

All Applicants seeking Admission to Enugu State University of Science and Technology Master’s Degree programme must meet the following minimum requirements;

Firstly, All candidates must have five credit passes, including English, Mathematics and two other relevant science subjects at ‘O’ Level.
Secondly, Candidates with a bachelor’s degree from an approved university must obtain a minimum of second-class lower division with a CGPA of 3.0/5.0 for an academic programme.
Candidates with at least a third-class Degree or HND and university PGD with a CGPA of 3.0/5.0 may be considered for admission into academic Master’s Degree Programmes.

Doctoral Degree (PhD) Programme

Candidates for ESUT Ph.D. Degree admission must satisfy the following requirements:

The candidate must have five credit passes, including English, mathematics and two other relevant subjects at O’ Level.
Also, Candidates with Bachelor’s degrees from approved universities must obtain a minimum of second-class lower division with a CPGA of 3.0/5.0.
Candidates must have a master’s Degree in relevant areas with a CGPA of 4.0/5.0
Candidates must demonstrate adequate intellectual capacity, maturity and effective decision-making and problem-solving potential.

ESUT Part-Time Postgraduate Admission Requirements 2024/2025

ESUT offers part-time Biomedical engineering/technology for master’s degrees and Postgraduate Diploma. The following are the requirements for eligibility;

All candidates must have five credit passes, including English, Mathematics and two other relevant science subjects at ‘O’ Level.
The admission requirement for the Doctor of Philosophy and Master’s degree programme in Biomedical Engineering Technology is the possession of at least a good Second Class Degree with a minimum of 3.5 and 3.00, respectively, on a 5.00 CGPA points scale.
All participants are required to buy and apply for the part-time postgraduate form.

More importantly, Admission Consideration is also given to those with an HND in a relevant field for the PGD programme.
