Benefits
All applicants are invited to base their project’s on the collections of the Deutsches Museum and to cooperate closely with museum staff on site when the formulation of their research is ongoing. All scholarship holders would be provided with their own workplace with a desktop computer and a telephone, they would also be provided with an opportunity to reside or stay temporarily in subsidized apartments of the museum complex.
The scholars are to present their research projects to colleagues at the beginning of their stay and it will be expected of them to participate regularly in the museum’s and the Munich’s Centre Monday colloquium series and workshop. Predoctoral stipends are 7,500 euros for six months and for twelve month’s 15,000 euros, post-doctoral stipends is 15,000 euros six months and for twelve month’s 30,000.
Eligibility
All scholars at any level of seniority are eligible for application provided they have at least one university degrees (Master or PhD) and there is no restriction to nationality, a BA is not needed and all scholars are to make their own provisions for health insurance. The ability to read German is a prerequisite for the application. During the stay of the scholar’s, all visiting scholars will have daily contact with the museum’s curators, archivists, librarians and as well as regular members.
