Crescent University Undergraduate Admission Criteria 2024/25

Suppose you have been waiting on the Crescent University admission process for 2024/2025. The University offers two undergraduate programs, part-time and full-time. Interested candidates can find the requirements for the program of their choice below.

Crescent University Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Criteria

Crescent University offers multiple full-time degrees and candidates seeking admission to the level of their choice, provided they meet the required criteria. The admission process and the requirements for a full-time undergraduate degree are listed below.

JAMB Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission at Crescent University, Abeokuta, candidates must meet the following general requirements:

Firstly, at least five credits in SSCE, GCE, NECO, or any approved equivalent.
Secondly, The five credits must include English Language and Mathematics and any other three subjects as specified by each department. Please refer to the departmental requirements by going to the College page.
The five credits should be obtained in no more than two sittings and must have been obtained within the last five years. Candidates awaiting results may also apply.
Also, Candidates who have chosen Crescent University as their preferred institution and have achieved an acceptable score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be offered admission through JAMB.
These candidates must also obtain the university’s screening form via the e-portal and pass the oral interview conducted as a prerequisite for admission.
Lastly, All applicants must participate in Crescent University’s screening exercise, as the school will not offer admission without completing the screening process.

Is it Called Remedial or Pre-Degree in Crescent University?

Unfortunately, Crescent University currently does not offer a pre-degree or remedial program. However, interested candidates can always check the school website for other programs.

Direct-Entry Admission Requirements

For admission to the 200 level at Crescent University, the following criteria apply:

NCE, OND, and their approved equivalents in relevant fields, with at least an Upper Credit level.
Also, Advanced Level passes, or their equivalents in relevant subjects are accepted.
The O’Level requirements stated above must also be fulfilled.
The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) at acceptable grade levels is also considered.
Furthermore, in exceptional cases, holders of OND with lower credit from recognized institutions may be admitted to the 200 level (Part II) in relevant degree programs.
Similarly, HND holders with lower credit from recognized institutions may be admitted to the 200 level in relevant degree programs.
Candidates must pass interviews conducted by the University.

Is it Called IJMB or JUPEB in Crescent University?

Crescent University offers a JUPEB program. Candidates who complete the program surpassing the school’s cut-off are eligible for admission directly into the 200-level.

IJMB to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Prospective candidates must ensure they meet the required minimum cut-off points for admission to the program of their choice. This must include A-Level passes in passes in relevant subjects.

JUPEB to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Prospective candidates must ensure they meet the required minimum cut-off points for admission to the program of their choice. This must also include A-Level passes in passes in relevant subjects.

Inter-University Transfer Undergraduate Admission Criteria

The school welcome transfer students who meet these criteria to join Crescent University and continue their educational journey with them.

Make payment and submit an Application via our E-Portal page.
Hold the minimum entry requirements for admission into the university.
Candidates should ensure that the transcript of academic records and a special confidential report from appropriate officials of their current institution are in the Admissions Office of Crescent University at least two months before the commencement of the intended session for which admission is sought.
Have a CGPA of not less than 1.5.

Crescent University Part-Time Undergraduate Admission Criteria

Candidates seeking part-time admission at Crescent University can gain entry either through UTME or DE, depending on their program of choice and if they meet the criteria to be eligible.

Unfortunately, Crescent University does not offer a sandwich degree at this moment. However, interested candidates can always check the school website for other programs.

Special/HND to Undergraduate Degree Top-Up Admission Criteria

Crescent University Postgraduate Admission Criteria 2024/25

Crescent University Full-Time Postgraduate Admission Criteria

If you want to pursue a postgraduate degree, the school offers various full-time degrees at Crescent University for the 2024/2025 academic session. However, interested applicants can find the admission requirements for their respective degrees;

Additionally,

Candidates awaiting Bachelor’s degree results or currently undergoing postgraduate studies or Nigerians who have not completed the National Youth Service Corps assignments (and have not been exempted) are not eligible for admission.
Lastly, Applicants must upload EVERY credential listed in the application form, including (a) a Degree Certificate (Not a Statement of Results) and (b) an NYSC Certificate (or letter of exemption).

Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate

Crescent University postgraduate diploma programs offer an opportunity for students to enhance their knowledge and skills in a specific field beyond their undergraduate studies.

Registered and passed a minimum of 30 credit units made up as follows:

1. 1. Ten core courses (2 credits each) – 20 units
  2. Three courses from area of concentration (2 credits each) – 6 units
  3. Research Project – 4 units
    Total Units – 30 units

The minimum pass score shall be 50%; continuous assessment shall constitute 30% of the examination for each course.
To be in good standing, a student must have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of not less than 2.40 each semester.
A student whose Cumulative Grade Point Average is below 2.40 at the end of a particular year of study shall be on probation for one academic session.

Master’s Degree Programme

To be eligible for the award of the Postgraduate Diploma Degree, a student must satisfy the following graduation requirements:

Registered and passed a minimum of 30 credit units made up as follows:

1. 1. Ten core courses (2 credits each) – 20 units
  2. Three courses from area of concentration (2 credits each) – 6 units
  3. Research Project – 4 units
    Total Units – 30 units

Also, the minimum pass score shall be 50%; continuous assessment shall constitute 30% of the examination for each course.
To be in good standing, a student must have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of not less than 2.40 each semester.
A student whose Cumulative Grade Point Average is below 2.40 at the end of a particular year of study shall be on probation for one academic session.

Professional Master’s Degree (MBA)

A candidate must have fulfilled the following conditions to gain entry for the MBA Degree:

Passed a minimum of 72 Credit Units, including all the compulsory courses. The requirement is broken down as follows:

1. 1. 19 Core Courses of 3 Units each – 57 Units
  2. 3 Electives courses of 3 Units each – 9 Units
  3. MBA Project/Field Report – 6 Units
    TOTAL UNITS – 72 UNITS

The minimum pass score shall be 50%; continuous assessment shall constitute 30% of the examination for each course.
Lastly, Students must conduct a field study relevant to their optional area and submit an acceptable project/report.
