Brief Details About Osun State
The administration of General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida created Osun state from Oyo state on the 27th of August 1991. The state name was taken from the Osun river and its capital is Osogbo.
The state is well known for its love for agriculture and a lot more, the Yoruba tribe is a major tribe there and it is located in the south-western part of the country bounded by Ekiti state and Ondo state in the east, Kwara state in the north, Ogun state in the south and Oyo state in the west.
