About the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute and ASEAN Foundation Joint Postgraduate Scholarship Programme

The basic purpose of the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute and ASEAN Foundation Joint Post-graduate Scholarship Programme is to make use of the best and most interactive techniques in teaching used around the world in top educational and research institute to train participants of the program to become effective leaders in their fields and to serve their countries needs to sustainable development. This program offers programs that lead to a Masters degree or a Doctorate in applied biological sciences.

This year, the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute and ASEAN Foundation Joint Post-graduate Scholarship Programme will be award to 10 candidates from the ASEAN states with exception of the Thai citizens who have interests in acquiring a Masters degree at the institution.  Successful Applicants will be selected based on merit.

Eligibility Requirements for the Programme

To be eligible for the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute and ASEAN Foundation Joint Post-graduate Scholarship Programme you must be a member of any of the ASEAN states (except Thai) and you must meet up to qualifications below.

  • You must not be up to the age of 30.
  • You must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2.75 CGPA in chemistry, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences and Medical Technology. If you are from a related field you can also apply.
  • You must have experience in scientific laboratory research.
  • You must have demonstrated English proficiency, preferably in TOEFL or IELTS.
  • You must write a statement of purpose stating why you are interested in the program.

How to Apply for the Programme

All interested applicants who are eligible to apply for the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute and ASEAN Foundation Joint Post-graduate Scholarship Programme should complete the application form and attach the following documents to it.

  • Your full academic trans.
  • Recommendation letter from three persons.
  • Your full medical history.
  • A statement of purpose stating why you are interested in the program.
  • Other supporting documents that will make the screening process easier.

Your completed application form and all the supporting documents must be scanned and sent via email to cgi_academic@cgi.ac.th. All the original copies of the documents and application form are to be sent via postal service to The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI Scholarship Programme) 906 Kamphangphet 6 Road, Laksi, Bangkok 10210 THAILAND.

Incomplete applications or applications without supporting documents or incomplete supporting documents will not be considered for evaluation. All applications are to be sent latest by 30, October 2020. All successful applicants will be notified by February 2021 of the outcome.
