JAMB Admission Requirements

Five (5) credits at the GCE/SSCE/NECO Examinations or their equivalent (at not more than 2 sittings); one sitting only for Medicine. Candidates below 15 years of age are advised not to apply.
Candidates must choose Babcock has their first choice institute in their 2024 JAMB profile.
Candidates are required to sit for the 2024 UTME and surpass the school’s minimum cut-off of 170.
Only candidates who meets the above are will be eligible for the post-UTME screening.

Is it Called Remedial or Pre-Degree in Babcock University?

Babcock University offers a pre-degree program. The Pre-degree program is aimed at preparing students for admission into the courses of their choice.

Pre-Degree to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Criteria

Applicants who complete the pre-degree course, and pass the school’s matriculation requirement for pursuing a full-time undergraduate program at Babcock are eligible to transition from pre-degree to full-time. Provided they meet the school’s basic O-level and JAMB requirement.

Remedial to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Criteria

Candidates who possess the following requirements will be eligible for a DE admission at Babcock University.

Five (5) credits at the GCE/SSCE/NECO Examinations or their equivalent (at not more than 2 sittings.
Applicants must possess either A-Level, NCE, OND, HND or equivalent higher degree(s).
Applicants must ensure to choose Babcock university as their first choice institute. Also ensure they certificate contains the right subject combination relevant to their choice of study.

Is it Called IJMB or JUPEB in Babcock University?

Babcock university offers a JUPEB program. The program runs for one (1) year and successful candidates are admitted to 200 level in any of the listed university programs through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)

IJMB to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Prospective candidates must ensure they meet the required minimum points for admission to the program of their choice. Also, this must include A-Level passes in passes in subjects relevant to their choice of study and ensure they fulfil all matriculation and DE requirements.

Babcock University Full-Time Postgraduate Admission Criteria

Master’s Degree Programme

Applicants for admission into the Master’s degree Program must possess:

Candidate with a first degree from a recognized University with a minimum of a second-class lower division may be admitted
A candidate with a good postgraduate Diploma in addition to a first degree, HND or certain professional certification from a recognized Institution may also be admitted to a Master’s Degree program.

Doctoral Degree (PhD) Programme

Applicants for admission into the Doctoral degree (PhD) Program must possess:

Regular Admission: A candidate with a good Master’s Degree – not less than 4.00 CGPA (on 5-point scale) or 60%, which includes course work and Dissertation from a recognized University, may be admitted.

Provisional Admission: Provisional admission to a PhD program is granted when the applicant brings a Master’s degree from an institution whose recognition cannot be adequately determined (typically in the case of a foreign institution), but who otherwise has successfully completed all admission requirements to the PhD program (as specified above for regular admission).

Note: Provisional admission is usually granted for one semester, at the end of which regular admission status is granted, provided that academic performance meets expected standards. A student can enroll in PhD coursework while under provisional admission.
