About the 2020/2021 AUST Postgraduate Admission Form

Candidates who wish to apply for admission into the above-named institution for its various M.Sc programmes can now apply as the sale for the form is still ongoing. The date for the submission of the application form has been postponed and as such candidates who have not procured their form can now proceed to do so.

A very competitive and selective process of admission is employed by the African University of Science and Technology for the selection of candidates into its M.SC programmes. It is very important to mention that only candidates who meet the specified requirements of the institution will be allowed to apply.

ASUT Admission Eligibility

ASUT is an institution that currently offers postgraduate programmes only and as such prospective applicants are required to possess an appropriate Bachelor’s degree.

At a minimum, applicants are required to have a Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Computational Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Science, or Engineering from a university that is well recognized with at least an Upper Second Class Honours classification or a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Also, Interested candidates who are from francophone countries are required to possess a “Maitrise” degree “avec mention bien” or, better still “avec mention très bien”. They are also expected to have an acceptable level of English Language proficiency. To summarize the above, applicants must possess in minimum requirements one of the following:

  • 1st Class Honours
  • Strong Upper Second (2:1 Honours)
  • Magna summa cum laude (in the American system)
  • Summa cum laude (in the American system)
  • Maitrise “avec mention très bien” preferred but “avec mention bien” (in the French system) may be considered

Lastly, students are expected to possess good knowledge of a modern programming language (e.g. Java, C, C++, and Computer Operating Systems) in addition to good preparatory Mathematics courses.

How to Obtain AUST Postgraduate Admission Form

To get the application form, applicants must provide the application fee of N10,000 or $50. The application fee is non-refundable. This link will provide applicants with more information on how to make payment. Important Information

The scholarship entrance examination of African University of Science and Technology (AUST) was scheduled to take place on Saturday 14th November 2020 but has now been postponed by the management of the institution. The scholarship entrance examination has been to hold on Saturday 12th December 2020, the time is 9am prompt.

Application Deadline

As a consequence of the above, the closing date for the return of all application form has also been rescheduled. The date has been extended from Friday 30th October 2020 to Monday 30th November 2020.

Due to the above, candidates who are interested in applying should use the extension opportunity and apply for the course of their choice. Any inconvenience the update has caused to prospective candidates is regrated by the university. In view of the above, classes will commence on Monday 11th January 2021.
