Generally, All applicants must meet the minimum entry requirement of five (5) credit passes at not more than two sittings in relevant O/level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. Note that the examination body shall verify every submitted result.

JAMB Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking Augustine University through the JAMB admission process must meet the following requirements.

First, candidates must surpass the school’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) cut-off of 160. Applicants are only eligible for the post-UTME screening process if they exceed the cut-off.
Secondly, candidates seeking admission into the university must choose Augustine University Ilara (AUI) as 1st choice of institution on their JAMB portal.
Candidates must choose the right subject combinations for their respective fields of study.
Lastly, candidates seeking admission into Augustine University must not be less than 16 years of age by October of the Admission year.

Is it Called Remedial or Pre-Degree at Augustine University?

A school’s pre-degree/Remedial program aims to prepare students for entry into the undergraduate program at the 100 level. However, Augustine University does not offer a pre-degree/Remedial process.

Pre-Degree to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Direct-Entry Admission Requirements

The direct entry admission process takes you directly into the 200 level. Candidates looking to apply to Augustine University through Direct entry for the 2024/2025 academic session can check below.

Five (5) Ordinary level credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics (in specified Courses) at not more than two sittings.
Candidates must obtain at least two (2) A’ level (or its equivalent) complete passes in relevant subjects or possess NCE or an excellent first degree in another field, as the case may be.
All DE candidates must obtain a JAMB DE form for the year before admission consideration.

Is it Called IJMB or JUPEB at Augustine University?

For applicants interested in the A-level program, Augustine Univerity offers a JUPEB program and not IJMB. Furthermore, Applicants who meet the school’s JUPEB requirements would gain admission directly into the 200 Level.

IJMB to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

JUPEB to Full-Time Undergraduate Admission Requirements

JUPEB is an Advanced Level program. When completed, the JUPEB admission process takes you to the 200 level for candidates applying to Augustine University Ilara (AUI) for the 2024/2025 academic session. The following are necessary to gain admission with JUPEB;

candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) Ordinary level credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics (applicable in specified programmes)at not more than two sittings.
Applicant must satisfy the school’s minimum cut-off of 8 points in their JUPEB certificate.
Lastly, applicants must process through the Direct Entry(DE) and fulfil all requirements.

Inter-University Transfer Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Transfer (TS) Applicants from other universities must have an Admission Letter to the university of previous admission to be eligible for the TS admission process.

AU Part-Time Undergraduate Admission Eligibility

Prospective candidates seeking admission into Augustine University’s part-time program must not be less than 16 years of age by October of the admission year. Admission is open to all, irrespective of gender, race, or religion. Prospective candidates would need to satisfy the following general requirements before they are offered admission into the university:

All admissions into the university shall be through the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB)
It is a Direct Entry part-time programme.
For admission to 200 level (Direct Entry), candidates should (in addition to five (5) Ordinary level credit passes, obtain at least two (2) A’ level (or its equivalent) complete passes in relevant subjects or possess NCE, or an excellent first degree in another field as the case may be.
All candidates seeking admission into the university must meet the SSCE/NECO or its equivalent basic requirements.

Special/HND to Undergraduate Degree Top-Up Admission Requirements

Augustine University Postgraduate Admission Eligibility 2024/25

Augustine University only offers a postgraduate program for computer science degree holders. Candidates contemplating a postgraduate program at the Augustine University Ilara (AUI) for the 2024/2025 academic session. The university offers a full-time postgraduate program for all degrees.

AU Full-Time Postgraduate Admission Eligibility

Applicants seeking full-time postgraduate admission at Augustine University Ilara (AUI) for the 2024/2025 academic session. The school offers multiple full-time degrees, which are;

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
Master’s Degree
Doctoral Degree (PhD)

Note: Five credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and any other 3 of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, and Geography, are required for all postgraduate programmes.

Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate

Candidates seeking entry for Augustine University postgraduate diploma degree must meet the following requirements before being considered for admission.

All candidates must have five credit passes, including English, Mathematics and three (3) other relevant science subjects at ‘O’ Level.
Also, candidates with a bachelor’s degree from an approved university must obtain a minimum of a passing degree in the relevant science discipline.
Holders of HND in relevant programmes from approved institutions with a minimum of Upper Credit may also be considered for admission.

Master’s Degree Programme (Computer Science)

AUI Master’s degree is a graduate degree that allows Computer science graduates to build advanced knowledge and deep understanding and develop more expertise applicable to their field. The criteria for admission into the Master’s programme will be as follows:

Firstly, a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of Second-
Class Lower Division from AUI or any other university recognized by the Senate of
Augustine University.
Secondly, a PGD in Computer Science from AUI or other recognized universities by the Senate of
Augustine University for candidates with a third-class degree.
Candidates with at least a lower credit in Higher National Diploma (HND) and
A University PGD with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 may be considered for admission.
Lastly, Candidates shall be required to participate in a postgraduate screening exercise to
Qualify for admission.

Doctoral Degree (PhD) Programme

Candidates applying for admission into the Augustine University Ilara (AUI) Doctoral degree (PhD) Program (Computer Science) must satisfy the following requirements:

Admission is open to candidates who possess a Master of Science degree (M.Sc.) in Computer Science or its equivalent with a CGPA of 3.50 – 3.99 from Augustine University or any other University recognized by the Senate of Augustine University.
