About AKSU (Akwa Ibom State University)
The Akwa Ibom State Government funded and conceived AKWA (Akwa Ibom State University). In the 2010/2011 academic year AKWA opened its doors to its pioneer students. There are more than five Faculties available in AKSU (Akwa Ibom State University). These faculties include the faculty of social science, the faculty of law. The faculty of engineering and the other five faculties.
The first vice-chancellor of the university is Sunday Petters Pioneer but the current one is Professor Nse Essien. The university is known to have trained a lot of graduates in the country and a lot more.

The least credits needed in WAEC (West African Examination Council) or NECO (National Examination Council) is five. JAMB (Joint Admission and Matriculation) cut-off mark for all courses is 160. To be on the safer side, applicants are expected to score above 200 in JAMB and pass the university Post-UTME cut-off mark.
