AIMS South Africa happens to be one of the Centres of excellence where training, research, and public engagement are carried out in Cape Town, South Africa. AIMS South Africa was created initially in the year 2003 as a partnership project of some top universities which includes:

Requirements

Students who are looking forward to the AIMS South Africa Structured Master’s Scholarships in 2021 are expected to meet the requirements stated below. They include:

  • Intakes of January AIMS Structured Master’s in mathematical sciences is available to students who are following the academic calendar of South Africa (January to December). Preference would be offered to nationals of South Africa.
  • Applicants are expected to be in possession or anticipate completing by the beginning date of the AIMS course, a 4-year university degree in mathematics, or any science or engineering subject with a significant mathematics component.
  • The record of applicants is expected to show strong aptitude in mathematics
  • The course Overview lists the courses that contribute to part of this programme

Selection Criteria

Each applicant’s dossier will get evaluated in light of the prior educational opportunities that have been made available to the candidate. Applicants that want to partake in the programme are expected to show both a high degree of motivation and the ability and preparation required to finish the course.
