About the 2020/2021 AE-FUNAI JUPEB and Pre-Degree Programmes Admission Form
The management of Alex Ekwueme University invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for admission into non-resident JUPEB and Pre-Degree programmes.
The purpose of the Pre-degree programme is to prepare candidates for admission into any degree programme in all disciplines of the university (Medicine and Surgery exclusive).
The JUPEB programme is ten-month intensive coaching designed for the purpose of preparing candidates to gain admission into 200 level departments of candidates choice in the university and over 60 universities in Nigeria and abroad via Direct Entry affiliated to the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB).
In AE-FUNAI, successful candidates who had applied to study medicine and surgery will be given admission into 100 level through the intensely completed admission process.
Bachelor Degree Programmes Available
The JUPEB Programme will run for about ten calendar months which when divided is two(2) semesters. The same applies to the pre-degree programme.

Candidates Eligible to Apply for the AE-FUNAI JUPEB and Pre-Degree Form
The management of the institution expects candidates who wish to apply for the above-mentioned programmes to meet certain eligibility requirements.
- Prospective candidates are required to have a minimum of five(5) credits in relevant subjects, Mathematics and English Language inclusive, obtained at not more than two sittings.
- Candidates who are applying to study Medicine and Surgery or Anatomy are expected to meet the above requirements in only one sitting.
How to Apply
Payment of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only is required as an application fee from candidates. Prospective candidates who meet the eligibility requirements should follow the underlisted steps to apply:
- Visit the ePortal of AE-FUNAI CES (ces.funai.edu.ng). Click on the ePortal on the menu bar and select “Start Online Application” from the drop-down menu. Your email address and other information will be required in order for you to start your online application.
- Create an account, the login on the e-portal to enable you to generate your Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR) to make payment. You can easily make payment using your Credit/Debit Card at any Nigerian Bank branch. Click on the required button to continue your online application after successful payment.
- Make sure that you correctly fill in all sections of your application form and then click on “Complete Application” to enable you to submit your application via the school’s online server. The server will acknowledge the receipt of your form by sending you an email via your email address and SMS to your Mobile Phone. Finally, print out two copies of your application form. The printed copies should be coloured.
General Information
- Candidates who are applying for the 2020/2021 preliminary programme are advised to regularly check AE-FUNAI CES website via ces.funai.edu.ng for the relevant update.
- Applicants are required to make available a recent coloured passport photograph. The passport should not be more than 3 months old at the time of application and it should feature a white background. Selfies, webcam photos, or blurred photos are strictly prohibited. Upload of wrong bio-data and credentials will have the applicants disqualified and their application fee also forfeited.
- Upon receiving an invitation through email and an Admission letter approved by the Director, applicants are to make a report to the Centre for Educational Services for Registration and Screening only. It is advisable that applicants use valid email addresses and personal telephone numbers when applying.
- It is advisable that applicants follow the application instructions carefully and ensure that they obey the stipulated guidelines. If candidates fail to do so, it may adversely affect the candidate. Note: Any person, or agent whether corporate or individual has not been authorized by AE-FUNAI to sell application forms on its behalf. Application is to be done strictly online and is to be done only on the school portal via www.ces.funai.edu.ng.
