About the AAU Ekpoma IJMB Admission Form 2020/2021 Academic Session

Ambrose Alli University (AAU) Ekpoma IJMB is now inviting application from all suitably qualified candidates for admission into the available programmes for the academic session of 2020/2021.

The Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE) is a national examination Body that the Federal government has approved and is certified fully by the Nigeria University Commission (NUC) as an alternative to ‘A’ level examination, for candidates looking forward to undergraduate admission into universities that are in Nigeria and abroad.

The IJMBE programmes were as a stop-gap after secondary school education, that would further prepare candidates academically, mentally and socially for challenges that have to do with university education. this programme has been scheduled to run for a duration of about twelve (12) calendar months split into about two academic semesters.

AAU Ekpoma IJMB Courses & Subject Combinations

Candidates that are for the IJMBE programme are required to undertake three combinable subjects at the advanced level that is relevant when undertaking of the university degree after completing the IJMBE programme. the combinations are related to the direct entry requirements available for the programmes of study in the institution as stated in the JAMB brochure.

Admission Requirements

Interested applicants are expected to be in possession of at least 5 at a maximum of two sittings in SSCE/WASC/GCE O’Level/NECO/NABTEB, which is expected to include English language and mathematics. Minimum of three credits is expected to be in relevant subjects.

ADMISSION TO UNIVERSITIES USING IJMBE RESULTS:

Admission requirements

Applicants are expected to be in possession of at least (5) credits at a maximum of two sittings in the SSCE/WASC/GCE/GCE O’level/NECO/NABTEB, which is expected to include English and mathematics in subjects that are relevant subjects.

Admission to Universities Using IJMBE Results:

All the interested candidates that have completed the IJMBE programme are expected to be looking forward to admission into the 200 level in Ambrose Alli University or any other Nigerian institution via the JAMB Direct Entry (DE) form. IJMBE results do not require JAMB UTME/screening exercise available for the admission.

Candidates are expected to make use of the IJMBE results, being an advanced level qualification that is similar to that of Cambridge or London Advanced Level qualifications, to gain access to admission into the foreign universities.

Duration of Programme

The programme holds for a duration of Twelve (12) calendar months divided into two (2) semesters.
